Ford Everest Bi-Turbo Sport: Two Features Americans Won't Get with the Ranger | Carscoops
The limited edition SUV combines diesel power with a stylish blacked-out design and towing technology, available exclusively in Australia for a brief production period.
The Everest Sport Bi-Turbo is limited to just 700 units, exclusively sold in Australia. It features a 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine producing 207 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, starting at a price of AU$75,000 for this special edition.
Ford does not market the Everest in the United States, which is regrettable, as it essentially serves as a Ranger SUV and includes a diesel engine—two aspects that are unavailable to American consumers. As we noted in our review, the Everest has several appealing qualities for American buyers.
One of the key markets for the Everest is Australia, and for the 2026 model year, a new sporty limited edition will be released. Unfortunately, it is not the long-awaited Everest Raptor.
This new model is named the Everest Sport Bi-Turbo. It reintroduces the four-cylinder engine to the lineup with limited production numbers after Ford previously switched to a V6-only offering. This variant combines the Sport trim with a 2.0-liter bi-turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine and four-wheel drive. Production is restricted to 700 units, with assembly slated from September to October before customer deliveries commence.
Ford Australia emphasizes that the Everest Sport Bi-Turbo is better equipped than the current Everest Sport V6, as it includes both the Touring Pack and Prestige Paint as standard features. Key components of the Sport package consist of black exterior accents and unique black alloy wheels.
With the addition of the Touring Pack, the Everest Sport Bi-Turbo comes with a standard 360-degree camera, tow bar and hitch, integrated trailer brake controller, and Ford’s Pro Trailer Backup Assist feature. It will be available in Blue Lightning, Alabaster White, Shadow Black, Meteor Grey, and Aluminum color options.
The Ford Everest’s 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel four-cylinder engine generates 207 hp and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque, paired with a standard 10-speed automatic transmission. For those desiring more power, the available Sport model features a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6, which produces 247 hp and 443 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque.
Pricing for the Everest Sport Bi-Turbo in Australia begins at AU$75,000 (approximately $49,700) driveaway. It is likely to appeal to buyers who appreciate the black accents of the Everest Sport while benefiting from the four-cylinder’s superior fuel efficiency. This combination makes it a viable option for both city drivers and those planning long road trips across the nation.
