Named the MH4 900, this M4 boasts approximately 80 fewer horsepower than a Bugatti Veyron, a comparison we didn't anticipate making.

Manhart squeezes 922 hp from BMW's M4 with forged internals and upgraded turbos. This tuned coupe nearly achieves Veyron-level power while remaining street-legal. An abundance of carbon fiber features includes aerodynamic components, interior accents, a diffuser, and bucket seats.

Once upon a time, 900 horsepower seemed like something out of science fiction, reserved for luxury supercars behind velvet ropes. Now, it's installed in the front of a BMW M4, courtesy of remarkable enhancements by the German tuning company Manhart.

The G82 BMW M4 is already an impressive vehicle, delivering performance that once required a prancing horse emblem and a passion for carbon fiber. Although the standard version is fast enough to leave your passengers speechless, the aftermarket community recognized its potential – and a lot of it. Tuning experts have been eager to push the boundaries, and Manhart has recently taken the modifications several levels beyond what one might consider reasonable with its MH4 900.

Rather than just making minor adjustments, the German tuning company delved deeply into the M4's S58 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six. They installed larger turbochargers and a stronger intercooler, replaced the pistons and connecting rods with forged versions, added a carbon fiber air intake, and reprogrammed the ECU.

The eight-speed transmission has also been upgraded to accommodate the increase in power. The result? A remarkable 922 horsepower and 878 lb-ft of torque, which is just 79 horsepower shy of a Bugatti Veyron, in case you needed a reminder.

Unfortunately, Manhart has not released any acceleration data for the MH4 900. Considering the standard model can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.2 seconds, we can only speculate on how ferocious this modified BMW will be off the line. Provided the MH4 900 can effectively transfer its added power to the ground, it should comfortably dip into the 2-second range.

Enhancing the engine modifications is a new stainless steel exhaust system with adjustable valves. Manhart has also included new downpipes featuring 200-cell catalytic converters, which can be used in conjunction with the removal of the standard OPF filters. Additionally, 110 mm tailpipes with a carbon fiber finish have been introduced.

      Aesthetic Enhancements to Match Performance

While we would argue that the standard M4 handles exceptionally well, that hasn’t deterred the tuner from incorporating new H&R lowering springs. It also comes equipped with matte black wheels measuring 20×10.5 inches in the front and 21×11.5 inches in the rear, fitted with 285/30 and 305/25 tires.

Several visual enhancements complete the modifications, including a new front splitter, aerodynamic front canards, carbon fiber side skirts, an enlarged carbon fiber lip spoiler, and a carbon diffuser. Additionally, numerous new carbon fiber components can be found throughout the engine bay, along with several features from the M4 CSL, including carbon-backed bucket seats.
