Believed the Zonda was gone? It continues to thrive with a multi-million dollar one-off. | Carscoops

The "new" Zonda is built on an existing chassis instead of being entirely new, as Pagani's first supercar has been out of production for some time.

This unique Zonda draws inspiration from the Kunlun Mountains in China.

It likely features a 760 hp 7.3-liter V12, similar to other models in the 760 lineup.

The exterior of this hypercar is predominantly blue-tinted carbon fiber.

The inaugural Pagani Zonda was produced in 1999, and even 26 years later, the automaker continues to create one-off variations of this legendary supercar. This is notable despite the fact that the Zonda has been succeeded not once, but twice, first by the Huayra and then by the Utopia.

It's worth mentioning that Pagani no longer produces new Zondas from the ground up. The last brand-new model, the Arrivederci, was unveiled just last year. However, the company is revitalizing older Zondas through its Unico division, and this exceptional example is the most recent addition to that ongoing series.

This specific Zonda Roadster pays homage to the Kunlun Mountains in China, reflecting the owner’s personal preferences. It includes several updates seen in other modified models, but also possesses some unique features. The entire chassis is made from carbon fiber, finished in a striking blue exposed carbon fiber, which makes it particularly eye-catching. Like all Zondas from the 760 series, it features a hood with prominent carbon fiber air vents and white racing stripes.

The supercar is fitted with black wheels featuring blue center caps, and the rear boasts an array of aerodynamic enhancements, including a large rear wing, a carbon fiber shark fin, a smaller secondary wing, and an impressive carbon fiber diffuser. Even the exhaust tips and their surrounds are finished in blue for added style.

While Pagani hasn't disclosed any powertrain details for this one-off model, it's reasonable to expect that it is equipped with the same AMG-derived 7.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine found in other Zonda 760s, which, as indicated by the model name, produces 760 hp. There are no images available of the supercar’s interior, so it is unclear whether it includes a manual or an automated manual transmission, both of which were options. Regardless, the V12 emits a sound that few other production engines can rival.

Although we don't have a specific figure for the cost of these upgrades, recent sales of similar one-off models suggest this custom Zonda could be valued at an astonishing $10 million or more.
