Ford Extends Employee Pricing, But Will Tariffs Cause Prices to Spike After July? | Carscoops

Ford has announced an extension of their employee pricing program into early July, aiming to build on the recent surge in sales. The automaker noted that this incentive has resulted in significant double-digit sales growth.

CEO Jim Farley indicated that prices might rise once the program concludes, citing potential tariffs as a contributing factor.

The employee pricing initiative is set to run through the Fourth of July weekend. Ford stated that their “From America, For America” campaign has greatly resonated with consumers, providing essential support to American families and businesses.

Although specific figures were not disclosed, Ford claimed that the employee pricing initiative has led to substantial sales increases and strong growth in market share. According to dealers, this program has acted as a much-needed boost in the market environment.

Rob Kaffl, Ford’s director of U.S. sales and dealer relations, mentioned, “Despite the evolving tariff landscape, our dealers are well-stocked with a diverse selection of vehicles, including gas, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric options.”

However, certain models, including Raptors and special editions of Mustangs and Broncos, are not included, as well as the 2025 Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator SUVs, and Super Duty trucks.

While the employee pricing extends into summer, CEO Jim Farley expressed uncertainty about future pricing. He mentioned to CNN that tariffs on imported vehicles and parts could impact costs, as Ford relies on certain imported components that are not available domestically.

Farley emphasized the importance of affordable parts, stating, “Keeping vehicle prices affordable is crucial for America.” He reiterated Ford's commitment to maintaining competitive pricing, noting that tariffs could provide both challenges and opportunities for the company. Despite these uncertainties, Ford remains a leader in vehicle assembly within the United States.
