      The modifications are quite extensive. As with the finest restomods, the updates extend well beyond just an engine swap. This build is constructed on a new tubular chassis featuring parts from C6 and C8 Corvettes, and it even includes carbon ceramic brakes from a C8. Very little remains of the original Sting Ray.

      Power is delivered by GM’s renowned LS9 6.2-liter supercharged V8, which notably powered the C6 Corvette ZR1, producing 638 hp and 604 lb-ft (819 Nm) of torque. According to Mecum Auctions, the supercharged V8 in this vehicle generates 550 hp and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Additionally, it has stainless steel headers and customized side-exit exhausts.

      There is no information on whether this modified Sting Ray is equipped with a modern traction control system, but if it isn't, a gentle right foot will be essential to utilize all that power safely. The upgraded power steering system is also designed to enhance the car's modern feel.

      Other notable features include a custom widebody kit with carbon fiber components, a stunning cabin enveloped in vibrant red leather on the seats, door panels, and dashboard, along with a bespoke center console. The builder has also integrated a custom audio system, although it may be unnecessary given the roar of that supercharged V8.
