We’ve encountered numerous imitation supercars, but what you’re seeing now is more than just a simple replica body kit—it’s the result of some impressive backyard engineering. Almost everything visible here is custom-made, from the body to the chassis. The only pre-made components were taken from an inexpensive donor car—a $100 Toyota Corona that donated its engine and other parts to make this project possible.

This is not a straightforward kit car; the amount of custom-fabricated parts is remarkable. While numerous mechanical elements were obtained from the donor Toyota, they did not all fit perfectly as they came off. For instance, the steering rack had to be extended to connect with the front knuckles, and the entire suspension system was essentially crafted in-house. And that barely scratches the surface.

Indeed, the four-cylinder Toyota engine (which appears to be a 1.8-liter 4S-FE, if we’re correct) may not compare to the engines in a Koenigsegg, but the fabrication team has clearly made impressive efforts to mimic some of the Jesko’s notable features, such as its adjustable wing and, perhaps most famously, its dihedral doors, which are favored by billionaires (NSFW: language). The exterior, too, is entirely handcrafted, from shaping the molds to pouring the fiberglass resin. Additionally, there’s a fully custom-made interior to complete the aesthetic. While the materials might not withstand close examination if you had the authentic version for comparison, we’re guessing you don’t, so just sit back and appreciate it with us.

The video lasts an hour, but even so, the process is so accelerated that it’s difficult to fully grasp how much custom fabrication was involved. While it likely wouldn’t finish the 24 Hours of Le Mans on its first attempt (though not due to lack of engine durability), it’s genuine, it functions, and it embodies DIY spirit in its purest form. You really can’t ask for more than that.
