The topless 296 N-Largo from the tuner may convince some to skip waiting for the forthcoming 296 Versione Speciale.

Novitec has rolled out its N-Largo modifications for the Ferrari 296 GTS convertible.

This version features a wider body kit, new wheels, lowered springs, and a revamped exhaust system.

The total power from the plug-in hybrid powertrain has been boosted to 856 hp.

For those eager to experience a more potent variant of the 296 before Ferrari releases the anticipated track-focused Versione Speciale, Novitec offers the N-Largo tuning package. This kit is aimed at enthusiasts looking to enhance performance before the official release from Maranello, providing a broader stance, bolder aesthetics, and increased power for this electrified supercar.

The 296 GTS N-Largo build upon the coupe-based 296 GTB N-Largo introduced last year, incorporating the same enhancements. Novitec's modifications include a carbon fiber widebody kit, larger wheels, a sportier exhaust, and a slight uptick in horsepower, augmenting the already impressive plug-in hybrid setup.

Designed by Vittorio Strosek, the N-Largo bodywork significantly increases the width of the 296 GTS, with new front and rear fenders extending the rear width by 120 mm (4.7 inches). Additional vents and intakes optimize airflow, while the reworked front bumper features a sharper splitter and an optional carbon vented hood for a sportier touch.

At the rear, the notable element is the ducktail spoiler, which can be exchanged for an optional fixed rear wing, complemented by a new diffuser. The side profile is refined with redesigned mirrors and Novitec NF11 NL forged alloy wheels by Vossen, measuring 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear, with a choice of 72 colors. Inside, Novitec provides numerous customization options with Alcantara and leather seating available in any shade.

The chassis is lowered by 35 mm (1.4 inches) using sports springs, while an optional front lift system helps protect the carbon fiber splitter from obstacles like speed bumps.

Importantly, Novitec ensures the 296 GTS delivers a sound that matches its aggressive appearance. The exhaust upgrade can be made from Inconel with 999 fine gold plating, featuring dual tailpipes with optional carbon fiber rings.

Regarding the plug-in hybrid powertrain, Novitec has increased the power of the twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 by 38 hp (28 kW / 38 PS) while keeping the electric motor unchanged. As a result, the total output of the hybrid system rises to 856 hp (638 kW / 868 PS), bringing it in line with its main competitor, the Lamborghini Temerario.

While the added power is appreciated, Ferrari's own 296 Versione Speciale is likely to surpass the Novitec variant with even better performance. The factory-tuned model is expected to gain from weight reductions, enhanced aerodynamics, and a more refined chassis setup, all developed by Maranello.

Until Ferrari reveals the 296 VS in April—one of six model launches planned for 2025—you can enjoy the sound of Novitec's 296 GTS N-Largo in the videos provided below.
