Dreame has unveiled its first electric vehicle, the Kosmera Nebula 1, at CES 2026.
This vehicle features four electric motors, producing an impressive 1,876 horsepower.
The final design resembles Ferrari and Lotus more than Bugatti.
For some time, it appeared as though the Chinese consumer electronics company Dreame was trying to enter the automotive market with a design reminiscent of Bugatti. Early images seemed inspired by the Chiron, and even later teasers drew heavily from unique Bugatti models. However, now that it has been unveiled at CES in Las Vegas, the actual design seems to evoke more of a Maranello aesthetic than Molsheim.
While the Kosmera Nebula 1 retains an eye-catching shape, it has traded the overt hypercar appearance for something lighter and sportier, suggesting influences from Lotus. The name may sound familiar, and we will address that shortly.
The front resembles a Ferrari F8
Despite some similarities in the C-pillar kink to the Bugatti Brouillard, the front end is devoid of the traditional Bugatti horseshoe grille, instead looking more akin to a Ferrari F8 Tributo.
We were aware that the Nebula 1 would feature four doors, but its overall silhouette leans more toward supercar than sedan, complemented by an aggressive carbon aero kit and a motorsport-inspired trunk lid wing, indicating significant racetrack potential.
Power Levels of a Hypercar
Supporting this aerodynamic design is a quad-motor electric drivetrain capable of generating 1,876 hp (1,902 PS/1,399 kW). According to reports, it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 1.8 seconds, placing it on par with other Chinese exotics like the Yangwang U9 and Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, as well as European supercars from established brands.
A Trio of Models
Interestingly, Dreame's Kosmera brand is also teasing two additional low-slung four-door vehicles at CES, one of which appears to be a variant of the Nebula 1. However, the third model has its front wheel positioned farther from the A-pillar and includes two visible charging ports, suggesting it may be a front-engine PHEV.
Currently, the Nebula 1 is still a concept without an interior, so many aspects may change before production is reportedly set to begin later this year at a plant in Berlin, Germany, near Tesla's Gigafactory, as claimed by the company’s CEO. Nonetheless, if it performs as well as it looks and is priced competitively with the SU7 Ultra, it could spell trouble for Porsche's Taycan sales.
