The Beast was reportedly driven at speeds exceeding 180 mph on the Autobahn.

Now, its front end showcases a unique Rolls-Royce grille.

Iconic Auctioneers anticipates bids will surpass £100,000 ($131,000).

If the classic Jaguar E-Type’s hood was a Freudian statement, The Beast took that concept, multiplied it, and added extra feet of ostentation for a grand statement. Two and a half years ago, one of Britain’s most unusual automotive creations changed hands, and it’s now making its way back to auction.

This unique machine, simply known as The Beast, remains one of the most eccentric vehicles ever devised, powered by the same 27-liter Rolls-Royce Meteor engine that was once utilized in World War II military aircraft.

If you've ever dreamed of owning something that merges madness with automotive history, this is your opportunity.

      Origins Of A Monster

So, what is ‘The Beast’ exactly? Its story began in the 1960s when Paul Jameson crafted a custom chassis around Rolls-Royce’s 27-liter Meteor airplane engine. A man named John Dodd later joined the project to help bring it to fruition. Strange doesn’t quite capture its essence.

To fit the enormous engine, the team had to design a hood so lengthy that it makes the Dodge Viper’s front look compact. A UK company named Fiber Glass Repairs created the car’s bodywork, initially painted in a bizarre shade of yellow.

It has since been wrapped in metallic grey, and the front has been revamped to feature a Rolls-Royce chrome grille. The vehicle originally sported one of these but faced legal issues with Rolls-Royce, which garnered significant attention for Dodd and his creation.

      A Proper Performer

Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of the Beast is that it’s not just a static display piece. It has been engineered for complete functionality, boasting independent suspension, large disc brakes, and a new transmission to handle immense torque.

As per Historic Auctioneers, the engine produces between 750 hp and 850 hp, enabling Dodd to reportedly reach speeds of over 180 mph (290 km/h) on the Autobahn.

In addition to a comprehensive exterior update, the interior has also been refreshed. The original yellow and orange cabin has been replaced with a sleek design predominantly in black leather and Alcantara. The auction house expects it to fetch between £75,000 ($99,000) and £100,000 ($131,000).
