Chrysler's 2027 Pacifica will feature the Halcyon Concept's front design and Open Sesame doors | Carscoops
Chrysler is planning a refresh for its Pacifica minivan, which has been on the market for eight years.
Spy photos indicate that the sliding side doors may be operable through foot gestures.
The front hood and fascia will feature sharper lines and an illuminated badge.
While we are still anticipating a significant Chrysler revival, with stylish models like the 2024 Halcyon EV as potential proof, we will have to make do with an updated version of the aging Pacifica minivan, which our spy team has captured for the first time.
Debuting in 2016, the Pacifica received a minor update for the 2021 model year, but this newest facelift appears to be more extensive.

Although the basic framework of this rival to the Toyota Sienna remains the same, heavy camouflage on the front of this prototype conceals a new design that seems inspired by the Halcyon.
How Much Halcyon Influence?
A prominent leading edge on the nose, which extends over a recessed front fascia, gives the Pacifica a sharper appearance. LED projector headlights are noticeable at each corner, and there seems to be a large illuminated Chrysler badge in the middle of the camouflaged section, which aligns with the Halcyon's design.
Rear modifications seem to be less dramatic, likely limited to updated graphics for the LED lights, unless Chrysler has a surprise in store under the D-pillar cover.
What’s New Inside?
There appears to be an exciting update waiting inside the refreshed Pacifica, based on the dashboard coverings visible through the windows and the sighting of a larger touchscreen.
Accessing the cabin might be more convenient this time if we've correctly interpreted the sticker on the sliding door, which suggests drivers could open the sliding doors with a kicking motion near the rocker panel—making it easier for those with their hands full of children and shopping bags.
This is contingent on the technology’s effectiveness; while it has been available for trunks for years, its reliability has been variable.
What Powers It?
The images provide no indication of the powertrain for the revamped Pacifica, which currently has a choice of a 287 hp (290 PS) V6 or a 260 hp (264 PS) PHEV V6.
Stellantis has a new 324 hp (329 PS) Hurricane 4 Turbo engine that delivers more power than a V6 from just four cylinders and is hybrid-friendly, making it an attractive option if re-engineering costs are reasonable.
The 2026 Pacifica has already been unveiled with a carryover design, so we expect to see the new Pacifica introduced next year as a 2027 model. It would also be logical for Chrysler to apply similar updates to its more affordable Voyager model at the same time.
