The successor to the LFA has been spotted testing with two different track setups.

The Lexus LFR has been observed featuring three distinct aerodynamic configurations.

This hybridized LFA successor is anticipated to generate approximately 900 hp.

A potential debut could be scheduled for later this year, along with a price in the six-figure range.

The Lexus LFR is getting closer to production and was recently showcased in the Sport Concept during the Monterey Car Week. We now have a clearer view of the production model, as three variations have been seen testing at the Nürburgring.

Caught benchmarking against the Mercedes-AMG GT-R and GT Black Series, the LFR prototypes appear quite similar at first glance. However, one variant is a straightforward version designed for street use.

Additionally, there’s a track-oriented variant featuring a carbon fiber front lip, canards, and a large rear wing, complemented by distinct vents above the front wheels.

Situated between the two extremes is a milder version with a shorter rear wing, which also lacks the front lip and has fewer canards.

Although the specifics differ, the LFR resembles a blend of the LFA and Sport Concept. As seen, the car boasts an aggressive front design with three prominent intakes and central 'fangs.' It also features a ram air hood and sleek headlights.

Moving towards the rear, there are sizable front fender vents and substantial side skirts. The model includes rear scoops and lightweight wheels, supported by a high-performance braking system. Additionally, it showcases a prominent rear spoiler, a four-tailpipe exhaust system, and a ventilated rear fascia.

The interior is designed with minimalism in mind, featuring supportive sport seats and a freestanding infotainment display. Drivers will also find a dedicated climate control panel and toggle-like buttons. The design likely includes a simplistic shifter and a digital instrument cluster.

Details about the powertrain remain somewhat unclear, but some hybrid components can seemingly be observed through the rear window. These components are rumored to support a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine generating 720 hp (537 kW / 730 PS). Hence, the model might achieve a total output of around 900 hp (671 kW / 912 PS), though these figures should be approached with caution.
