The Avatr Vision Xpectra has a length of 5,843 mm (230 inches) and features prismatic glass that emanates a warm, inviting glow from within.

The cutting-edge Avatr Vision Xpectra concept was unveiled at the Munich Motor Show.

This massive luxury sedan boasts unique proportions and accommodates four passengers.

Although the concept is not intended for production, it may influence future models from Avatr.

Entering the European market can be challenging for a newcomer in the premium sector, but Avatr is committed to establishing its presence. The Chinese automaker, which has a design studio in Munich, chose the IAA Mobility Show to showcase the Vision Xpectra, a futuristic flagship sedan with a presence reminiscent of Maybach and Rolls-Royce.

According to the design team, the Vision Xpectra combines a “solid” exterior with a “soft” interior. At the front, the split LED headlights extend into the profile, connecting with a sculpted bumper that conveys both strength and precision. The overall aesthetic aligns with other Avatr products but is more striking in its execution.

The most striking feature of the exterior is the expansive greenhouse, characterized by slim pillars and a steeply sloping windshield that seamlessly flows into the hood. The side profile showcases bold proportions with large alloy wheels, squared fenders, and a short rear deck that merges into wide shoulders. At the back, a prominent diffuser stands out on the bumper, emphasizing the concept’s sporty appearance.

In line with Avatr's vision of creating vehicles with "emotional intelligence," the Vision Xpectra is designed to sense its environment and its occupants, utilizing illuminated bodywork components to create a welcoming effect. Additionally, the prismatic glass cabin emits a cozy glow from inside.

The large suicide doors with a pillarless design provide easy access to the interior. The cabin, designed for four, features dynamic ambient lighting, headrests resembling inflatable pillows, and transparent displays. Another notable detail is the lamella sculptures on the doors that seamlessly integrate with the dashboard when opened and closed.

The central element of the dashboard, referred to as the “vortex,” contains a “living AI entity” that interacts with the passengers. The interface, known as the “cortex” on the center console, combines touch and gesture controls within a circular framework. The design team has even crafted champagne glasses and carry-on items to complement the interior atmosphere.

The Vision Xpectra measures 5,843 mm (230 inches) in length, 2,132 mm (83.9 inches) in width, and 1,405 mm (55.3 inches) in height, with a wheelbase of 3,450 mm (135.8 inches). This makes it a full 823 mm (32.4 inches) longer than Avatr’s largest production model. Its footprint is comparable to that of the Rolls-Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase and the large Hongqi Guoli, exceeding the Maextro S800 from Huawei and JAC.

Details on technical specifications have not yet been released, but Avatr is currently providing models that feature fully electric and range-extender powertrains, utilizing Changan underpinnings, CATL batteries, and Huawei technology.

As anticipated, the Avatr Vision Xpectra is not slated for production. However, it establishes a foundation for the evolution of the brand's design language, with the potential for some features to appear in future flagship models.

Avatr's current lineup includes two pairs of mechanically related sedans and crossovers – the Tesla-competing 06 / 07 and the larger 12 / 11. This number is projected to expand significantly over the next few years, with a total of at least 17 new products expected by 2030.
