Everrati has introduced the Porsche 911 993 Founders Edition, featuring a fully electric drivetrain.
This electromod boasts a carbon fiber body, an upgraded interior, and a re-engineered chassis.
The vehicle offers 760 horsepower, a range of 200 miles, and a completely reversible conversion.
The Porsche 993 has been a highly coveted model, recognized as the last generation with an air-cooled engine; however, Everrati's latest model updates this classic 1990s car into a fully electric sports model, offering numerous customization options and modern enhancements.
The creation of the 911 (993) Founders Edition starts with an extensive restoration of the original vehicle, performed by Porsche experts. Following this, the body is redesigned using carbon fiber while maintaining the iconic 993 silhouette and integrating subtle design elements from the Turbo S.
Significant exterior modifications include the addition of LED lighting, Everrati branding, and, notably, the removal of exhaust tips. The car is equipped with 18-inch forged alloy wheels inspired by the classic HRE turbo twists, and owners can customize their vehicles with a wide variety of paint colors and optional graphics.
Inside, the 993 combines a sense of heritage with modern conveniences. The cabin is outfitted with Alcantara and Bridge of Weir leather, while smaller elements such as stalks and touchpoints have been reupholstered. The instrument panel keeps the iconic five-gauge arrangement of the original but is updated for the electric system.
A subtle Porsche Classic navigation system is integrated into the center console, offering Bluetooth capabilities and the option to connect to a premium sound system. For a sportier feel, buyers can opt for Recaro Sportster CS seats in place of the standard front seats, with an option to remove the rear seats.
Under the hood, the most significant modifications take place. The traditional air-cooled flat-six engine has been replaced by a single electric motor generating 760 hp (567 kW / 771 PS) and 810 Nm (597 lb-ft) of torque. These power figures exceed those of Porsche's most high-performance 993 variants, such as the Carrera RS, Turbo S, and GT2. A custom differential distributes power to the rear wheels, achieving a 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) time of 3.3 seconds and 0-100 mph (0-161 km/h) in 8 seconds.
The energy is supplied by a 63 kWh battery pack equipped with advanced management and temperature control systems. With a full charge, it offers a range of up to 320 km (200 miles), although more spirited driving may reduce that figure. The system supports 100 kW rapid charging, enabling the battery to recharge from 20 to 80 percent in approximately 25 minutes.
Everrati highlights that the conversion maintains the original vehicle's weight and balance, preserving the driving dynamics of the 993.
The classic Porsche is enhanced with power-assisted steering, regenerative braking, and new suspension components alongside upgraded brakes. For those seeking improved handling, an optional performance package is available, incorporating active suspension and more robust brake materials.
Crucially, the conversion process is reversible, allowing the donor Porsche to return to its original factory condition if desired, which may help safeguard resale values.
The 911 (993) Founders Edition is currently open for orders at an undisclosed price, raising the question of whether enough 993 owners will opt to convert their air-cooled models to battery electric vehicles.
