Eccentrica V12 Titano Offers An Even More Intense Diablo Restomod | Carscoops
Power is said to derive from a reworked 5.7-liter V12 with an updated ECU for enhanced performance.
The Titano is anticipated to make its debut at Monterey, following the original model's unveiling at the same event in 2024.
It boasts enhancements such as forged wheels, a carbon rear wing, and a more rigid suspension arrangement.
It remains uncertain whether Eccentrica has sold all 19 units or if they are using the Titano to generate interest.
The Lamborghini Diablo is undeniably a supercar that has left its mark. It successfully picked up the baton from the Countach and upheld the brand's legacy in a commendable manner. Additionally, it was the final Lamborghini produced before the Volkswagen Audi Group acquired the company.
Two years ago, Eccentrica, a small restomod company, opted to create 19 refreshed Diablos. Now, a new iteration named the Titano is set to be released, and it is quite exceptional.
The original Eccentrica Diablo restomod was simply referred to as the V12. It features improvements to the chassis, a new double-wishbone suspension, active dampers, and various minor modifications to the bodywork.
The engine is not a modernized 2,000 horsepower powerplant akin to those from Underground Racing. It closely resembles the original 5.7-liter V12 that many Diablos were equipped with, producing 550 horsepower (410 kW) and 442 lb-ft (598 Nm) of torque. The Titano is even more remarkable.
Enhanced Power, Improved Components
The Supercar Blog reports that it has discovered leaked information indicating that the V12 Titano will receive an ECU remap for increased power. Furthermore, it will feature a redesigned carbon fiber rear wing, a newly shaped front splitter, lightweight forged wheels, and a stiffer suspension.
If this makes it sound like we’re discussing a track-oriented version of the Diablo, that's because it is. And what better venue to showcase this latest track-oriented supercar restomod than at Monterey Car Week?
This event is where it is expected to be revealed to the public, which makes sense. Eccentrica introduced the standard V12 at the same event last year. It’s important to note that cars like this might not attract as many buyers as one might anticipate.
It is unclear if Eccentrica has completed its orders or if the Titano is merely an attempt to attract more customers. As of this moment, the brand’s website appears to be largely stripped down, aside from the landing page.
Finally, while these details have allegedly been leaked, we cannot verify the authenticity of the source. Although they seem credible, it is possible that some aspects may differ when we see this car later this month.
