      In recent years, several prototypes of the extraordinary LaFerrari have been sold.

      The interior of this test mule is predominantly a standard 458 Italia, but it has an additional 12-volt battery included.

The rear follows a similar pattern, with only the taillights and vents being sourced from the 458. While the exterior is quite unusual, the interior remains largely a standard 458 Italia, aside from the additional battery located in the passenger footwell.

      RM Sotheby’s is overseeing the sale, with an estimated price range of $900,000 to $1.2 million. This isn't a trivial amount, especially for a car that cannot be registered for street use. Nonetheless, when compared to the price of a completed LaFerrari, it represents a unique chance to own a direct piece of the car’s developmental history.

      Many LaFerrari prototypes have been sold over the years, including this particular car, which was auctioned by Mecum Auctions three years ago for $715,000. This price could be considered quite reasonable if it now sells for more than $1.2 million.
