The new P7 will be offered in both single-motor and dual-motor options, generating up to 586 hp.

Xpeng will offer the second-generation P7 with two battery sizes: 74.9 kWh and 92.92 kWh.

The long-range rear-wheel-drive version is claimed to have a range of 509 miles (820 km).

Inside, it features an 87-inch augmented reality head-up display and a central screen that tilts toward the driver.

Recent images and information have emerged about Xpeng's cutting-edge P7 sports sedan, which distinguishes itself from other electric vehicles on the market. Although sedan sales have declined, vehicles like the Xiaomi SU7 and the new Xpeng P7 highlight that there remains significant interest in such models.

The exterior design of the new P7 is striking and represents a clear departure from traditional styling, incorporating designs that seem reminiscent of the Tesla Cybertruck. The front end showcases a sharp, full-width LED light bar, accompanied by vertical daytime running lights for a bold initial impression. The rear continues the design theme with a similar light bar, vertically arranged taillights, and a flowing rear glass that replaces the conventional trunk lid.

Interior Design Focused on Technology and Driver Engagement

More intriguing than the exterior may be the interior, revealed in these new images for the first time. The sedan boasts a large 87-inch augmented reality head-up display, which Xiaomi first introduced on the G7 SUV. Additionally, it features a sporty three-spoke steering wheel with AMG-style dials for adjusting various modes and functions on the go.

To enhance the high-tech ambiance, the ambient lighting has been carefully designed, while the main infotainment screen is mounted on a tilting panel that faces the driver. A slender digital gauge cluster sits behind the steering wheel, and the sporty bucket seats have active side bolsters that inflate to keep the driver secure during sharp turns, similar to features found in premium German performance vehicles.

      Performance and Range Options

The P7 will come with two battery choices: a 74.9 kWh pack and a larger 92.92 kWh option. The standard version is equipped with a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 362 hp (270 kW). For those seeking enhanced traction and performance, an all-wheel-drive version adds a 224 hp (167 kW) front motor, reaching a combined output of 586 hp (437 kW).

Xpeng aims for competitive range figures throughout the lineup. The base model is expected to achieve up to 436 miles (702 km) on a full charge. The long-range rear-wheel-drive version extends that to 509 miles (820 km), while the dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant still delivers an impressive range of 466 miles (750 km).

Although exact charging durations haven't been confirmed, Xpeng mentions that the P7 will support the same 5C fast-charging standard as the G7 SUV. This means that just 10 minutes of charging could result in an additional range of up to 271 miles (436 km), given similar conditions and infrastructure.

In terms of dimensions, the sedan measures 197.5 inches (5,017 mm) in length, 77.6 inches (1,970 mm) in width, and 56.2 inches (1,427 mm) in height, with a 118.4-inch (3,008 mm) wheelbase, giving it a similar profile to the Tesla Model S.

Although pricing details have not yet been disclosed, based on current trends among Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers, it is reasonable to speculate that the P7 will be priced competitively, potentially appealing to Western consumers considering the value for money, despite raising concerns in China about its sustainability.
