Not too long ago, a Singer DLS was sold for $3 million in the United States.

Singer produced only 75 DLS models, making each one exceedingly rare and valuable.

This particular model features a Fluid Silver paint costing $42,550 and has exposed carbon fiber elements.

The DLS is equipped with a naturally aspirated 500 hp flat-six engine created by Williams Engineering.

To the untutored observer, Singer’s extraordinary 911-based Dynamics and Lightweighting Study, commonly referred to as the DLS, may appear to be just another 964. In reality, it is a completely reimagined, ultra-lightweight sports car crafted with meticulous attention to detail and performance. With values now competing with some of the world's finest hypercars, one example is projected to fetch up to $3.2 million at auction next month.

Singer manufactured just 75 units of the DLS, and this specific model is known as the ‘Mame Commission.’ It was finished in August 2022 and has only been driven 250 miles. The original owner was likely anticipating this moment, as the value of DLS models has increased significantly.

In the US, the base price for the DLS starts at $1.8 million, and in June, a similar low-mileage model sold for $3 million on Bring a Trailer. Clearly, collectors see this as much more than just a typical restomod.

The Mame Commission is finished in Fluid Silver—a $42,550 option—and features a full paint protection film. It includes several exposed satin carbon fiber accents, is mounted on Fuchs-style 18-inch wheels, and shares the impressive road presence of all DLS models. This signifies it has beautifully flared wheel arches, a substantial lip spoiler on the tailgate, and updated LED headlights and taillights.

A Cabin That Makes a Statement

While the Fluid Silver exterior is relatively subdued, the car's interior is anything but. It is predominantly covered in Olive Green suede with Black trim and carbon fiber elements. Notable options include a $10,000 carbon fiber X-brace, color-matched harnesses, and a maple wood shift knob. This vehicle is a genuine piece of automotive art, which accounts for its high value.

Perhaps the most impressive feature of the DLS is its powertrain. It boasts a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six from Williams Advanced Engineering delivering 500 hp. It also includes an Inconel and titanium exhaust, with power distributed to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission, maintaining the analog purity that contributes to the car’s allure.

This is less about nostalgia and more about precision—a car that honors Porsche’s legacy while redefining what can be achieved with its platform.
