The 1,000 HP Hypercar That Accommodates Two of Your Friends | Carscoops
The latest hypercar from Glickenhaus features a three-seat configuration, similar to the McLaren F1, and was revealed showcasing a race-inspired paint scheme.
A twin-turbo 6.2-liter V8 has been compactly integrated into the body of the SCG 007s.
This new hypercar, like the McLaren F1 and Speedtail, offers seating for three.
According to SCG, the vehicle has a weight of 1,550 kg, making it an ideal track companion.
Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has officially introduced the road-legal variant of its 007 Le Mans Hypercar, referred to as the SCG 007s. This model continues the brand's tradition of producing road-ready versions of their race cars, providing a level of motorsport heritage unmatched by its hypercar competitors.
One of the standout features of the SCG 007s is how closely its design resembles that of the race version. While it is not a carbon copy, as it is taller and not as wide or low, the cockpit has been significantly expanded to accommodate three seats, compared to the single seat in the race car.
The 007s showcases many aerodynamic elements similar to the LMH model, such as a comparable front splitter, a prominent shark fin, and a large rear wing. It also sports the same blue color with red, white, and dark blue racing stripes as seen in the race car's livery.
Powering the vehicle is a twin-turbocharged 6.2-liter V8 engine delivering 1,000 hp and 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque, which sends power to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automated manual transmission. Weighing in at only 1,550 kg (3,417 lbs), it is expected to be incredibly fast, although the manufacturer has yet to release any performance metrics.
Unveiled over the weekend at the Concours d’Eleganza Villa d’Este by Lake Como in Italy, the 007s adopts the iconic three-seat layout popularized by the McLaren F1 and later by the McLaren Speedtail, with the driver seated centrally and passenger seats on either side.
Given its heavy reliance on the race model, the interior is relatively sparse. It features a motorsport-themed carbon fiber steering wheel and two small displays for essential vehicle information. Luxuries are minimal, so don't expect many amenities; this hypercar focuses on driving rather than entertainment or comfort.
As for pricing? It remains undisclosed, but considering the SCG 007s' pedigree and exclusivity, it’s reasonable to anticipate high figures once they are announced. Rest assured, details will surface soon if you’re fortunate enough to be in a position to afford it.
