The Roush Nitemare F-150 features a suspension drop of up to five inches.

Included in its handling enhancements are coilovers, sway bars, custom wheels, and tires.

Although there are no changes to the engine, the truck can achieve over 1.0G on a road course.

Not all pickups need to be rugged, desert-jumping machines. Sometimes, it's more about handling curves with precision while potentially outpacing several sports cars. The Ford F-150 wasn’t originally intended to be a high-performance vehicle for racing against Corvettes. There’s the Raptor and the more powerful Raptor R, but these models are optimized for speed and off-road performance. This is where the Roush Nitemare comes into play.

Engineered specifically for “precision handling,” Roush’s latest model of America’s top-selling truck focuses on handling, to the point that it does not include any engine modifications. It is being produced solely as a two-door variant and features significant improvements beneath the surface to enhance its cornering performance.

As expected, the modifications begin with the suspension. Roush has lowered the front end by 3 inches and the rear by 5 inches, incorporating specially designed performance coilovers, drop spindles, two-tube dampers, progressive-rate springs, and a new sway bar. The Nitemare also features custom 22-inch wheels wrapped in 305/40 General Tires G-Max AS07 tires. Roush claims the truck can generate over 1.0G on a road course due to these handling improvements.

Additionally, the Nitemare boasts new slotted brake rotors and a catback exhaust system with dual black tips. Roush states that the truck “delivers exceptional grip and control,” and while it may not rival a true sports car on a road track, it should easily outperform standard F-150s.

Enhancing the upgraded suspension and braking components are several design changes. This includes a blacked-out front grille featuring an illuminated Roush badge, a redesigned tailgate, and a custom hitch cover.

To ensure owners remember they aren’t in a standard F-150, Roush has introduced new black leather seating, plenty of Roush Red accents, US flags throughout, and fresh decals on the doors. Aluminum pedals round out the performance-oriented enhancements. Customers also have the option for an Alpine audio system, additional storage in the center console, and carbon fiber accents throughout the cabin.

The complete Nitemare package is priced at $19,999 above the base cost of the donor truck and includes a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty on all Roush-installed components.
