Novitec Believes The Ferrari SF90 XX Lacks Sufficient Volume | Carscoops

      The subtly tuned supercar features a lightweight exhaust that contributes an additional 30 hp.

      Custom 20-inch wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear improve the SF90 XX’s presence and performance.

      Novitec has also lowered the ride height by 25 mm with new sports springs to enhance handling.

      Ferraris are engineered so well from the factory that often, when aftermarket tuners attempt upgrades, they can inadvertently diminish the car's quality. However, Novitec is a notable exception. This tuner has the capability to enhance an already exceptional Ferrari, and it appears to have achieved that with its modifications to the SF90 XX.

      Novitec’s primary goal was to ensure the SF90 XX has the sound of a true hypercar rather than a subdued vehicle muffled by noise and emissions regulations. To achieve this, they designed a new exhaust system for the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, extracting an additional 30 horsepower. The result is a total output of 1,046 hp and 620 lb-ft (840 Nm) of torque, more than enough to satisfy any speed enthusiast.

      For those concerned with weight as much as sound, the exhaust can be manufactured from either stainless steel or Inconel, the same material used in Formula 1. This allows the car to produce an exhilarating sound while also reducing weight. The tuner wisely chose not to modify the complex hybrid systems and electric motors, retaining them in their original state.

      What Novitec has accomplished is a thoughtful enhancement of certain design elements of the Ferrari SF90 XX. The most noticeable alteration is the installation of new 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, fitted with high-performance tires sized 255/35 and 325/25. These wheels are paired with new sports springs that lower the ride height by 25 mm (1 inch) at both the front and rear.

      Another modification is the addition of carbon covers for the wing mirrors. This particular SF90 XX is presented in a striking shade of blue and belongs to a customer, although Novitec has not disclosed the cost of these upgrades. The tuner is also available to customize the interior of any SF90 XX that arrives at their facility, ensuring the cabin is as visually stunning as the exterior.
