The MGA Factory Edition from Frontline merges classic style with contemporary mechanical enhancements.

Buyers can select from engines producing either 225 hp or 290 hp, paired with a Mazda five-speed manual transmission.

Subtle updates to the exterior include LED headlights, wire wheels, and optional lightweight wheels.

Frontline Cars has unveiled the MGA Factory Edition, set to debut at the Goodwood Members’ Meeting later this month. It is a stylish retro-mod that exudes old-school appeal.

Available as both a coupe and roadster, the MGA Factory Edition is based on fully restored 1950s models, which receive "subtle exterior design modifications," including modern LED headlights and new 15-inch wire wheels. Optional "Dunlop-style" alloy wheels can also be ordered to reduce unsprung weight and enhance handling.

The interior is highly customizable and features vintage Smiths gauges, along with practical door pockets and a modern audio system with a concealed head unit. This design retains a classic appearance while incorporating modern audio capabilities, including two speakers, two tweeters, an amplifier, and Bluetooth connectivity.

A variety of options are offered, including power windows and heated front seats. Customers can also opt for air conditioning and a wireless smartphone charger.

Under the hood, the car is equipped with a 2.0-liter Duratec engine that delivers 225 hp (168 kW / 228 PS) and 178 lb-ft (241 Nm) of torque, paired with a Mazda five-speed manual transmission. This allows the 1,797 lb (815 kg) vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).

A 2.5-liter engine producing 290 hp (216 kW / 294 PS) and 243 lb-ft (330 Nm) of torque is also available, which reduces the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time to 4.1 seconds, while maintaining the same top speed.

Regarding performance, the car replaces leaf springs with a fully adjustable five-link rear suspension. Buyers will also benefit from electronic power steering, a limited-slip differential, and a modern braking system featuring two- and four-piston calipers.

The MGA Factory Edition will be available in both right- and left-hand drive configurations. It is currently open for orders, with deliveries expected to start in the summer of 2026.

Frontline founder Tim Fenna stated, “This is a car that looks and feels like a classic but drives like something much more advanced. It’s light, fast, and incredibly rewarding – yet still unmistakably, an MGA.”
