The Vietnamese builders dedicated an entire year to the project, culminating in a convincing replica of the Swedish hypercar.

For added authenticity, the replica is equipped with inboard suspension and automatic dihedral doors.
The Koenigsegg Jesko is a hypercar that is both rare and incredibly fast, a true powerhouse that's out of reach for many due to its exorbitant price and limited availability. However, a team of Vietnamese builders has managed to create a convincing replica using parts from an old Toyota sedan.
This endeavor was undertaken by NHET TV, a YouTube channel popular among fans of hypercar replicas. If you think this is their first attempt at such a project, you're mistaken. In 2022, they crafted a Bugatti Chiron, followed by a La Ferrari in 2023, and in 2024, a Pagani Huayra. It's clear they have honed their skills in automotive fabrication, showcasing that practice leads to perfection.
The journey began with a basic metal tube framework, designed by referencing images of the Jesko. This framework served as the base for a full-sized clay model, which was subsequently utilized to mold the fiberglass bodywork that would eventually bring the hypercar replica to fruition.
Instead of merely placing a replica body onto an existing car, the team committed fully to building a custom steel chassis. In addition, they engineered a completely independent inboard suspension, which they tested for durability by dropping the rolling chassis from a considerable height. The outcome? A replica that maintained the original Jesko's proportions, enhancing its believability.

The pictured Toyota Corona contributed its engine, gearbox, and other mechanical parts.
A Toyota Corona powertrain? Why not?
The next step was sourcing a powertrain. The builders looked to an unexpected source: a ninth-generation Toyota Corona (also known as the Carina E), reportedly acquired for just $100. Although the body was in poor condition, the drivetrain remained functional. The team was able to reuse not only the engine but also the gearbox and other essential mechanical components.
The Toyota’s naturally aspirated 1.8-liter engine was positioned in the rear-midship slot on the custom chassis. Clearly, it pales in comparison to the 1,600 hp (1,193 kW / 1,622 PS) twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 of the actual Jesko, but the Toyota engine serves as an affordable and dependable solution.
Returning to the replica's bodywork, it was painted in a striking red, accented with white stripes and black details. To remain as genuine as possible, the team crafted custom headlights and taillights, while also recreating the large aero components of the Jesko Attack designed for maximum downforce. They even added faux brake discs with green calipers.
Custom details, both inside and out.
Even more impressive than the exterior aesthetics is that the Vietnamese builders created custom operating features like the dihedral doors, hood, and rear clamshell. This aspect of building a vehicle from scratch can be quite challenging, especially for those lacking experience in automotive production.
The final stage involved fitting the interior panels, which closely mirror the original design, albeit with less expensive materials and dummy screens. The bucket seats sport light blue upholstery with a diamond pattern, and the center console includes two cup holders.
According to NHET TV, the entire process spanned a full year, demonstrating the commitment of all participants. Consistent with their earlier replicas, this model was not created for commercial purposes and is not street legal due to missing vital safety features. Nonetheless, it is a remarkable project that helps the builders refine their skills while attracting millions of views on social media, likely their main source of funding.
If you're interested in the whole process, NHET TV has posted a nearly hour-long video detailing the build. Take a look below, along with a gallery of screenshots capturing significant moments.
