Cadillac Optiq-V Set to Compete with Tesla Model Y Performance | Carscoops
Cadillac is developing a new electric V-Series crossover called the Optiq-V, which may launch next year.
The vehicle features a subtly updated exterior with new bumpers and an elevated spoiler.
It might be equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering 515 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque.
The V-Series lineup of Cadillac is undergoing an electrifying transformation, as spy photographers have captured the initial images of the 2026 Optiq-V. This model will be positioned below the Lyriq-V, which is set to debut later this year with a price tag of $79,990.
Concealed under heavy camouflage, the prototype may not appear very striking at first sight. However, a closer look reveals a new front bumper and an updated intake featuring a mesh insert that resembles its larger counterpart. A subtle front lip is also evident.

The sportier design continues as we move toward the rear, with the prototype sporting stylish 21-inch wheels, supported by a more robust braking system. It's notable that the front brake discs on the Lyriq-V are nearly 2.8 inches (71 mm) larger than those on the standard model.
Aside from the wheels, it appears that the crossover will have streamlined cladding for a sleeker look. Additionally, a taller, mid-mounted spoiler and a more athletic rear bumper can be observed.
The standard Optiq comes with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system that generates 300 hp (224 kW / 304 PS) and 354 lb-ft (479 Nm) of torque. While the exact power of the Optiq-V remains unconfirmed, Cadillac may have set a precedent with the Lyriq-V, which shares similar output with the Vistiq.
If this trend carries over to the entry-level crossover, it should match the performance figures of the all-wheel-drive Lyriq. If this holds true, we can anticipate a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 515 hp (384 kW / 522 PS) and 450 lb-ft (609 Nm) of torque.
Regardless of the final specifications, there may be a noticeable reduction in range. This is unfortunate, given that the 85 kWh battery pack currently allows the standard model to travel 302 miles (486 km) on a single charge.
