A 2026 Corvette ZR1 coupe is currently available on the Bring a Trailer auction site.

The 1,064 hp C8 is yet to be registered and has an MSRP of $223k.

Notable features include the carbon aero and ZTK performance packages.

It didn’t take long for this American supercar to enter the resale market. A 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, which has never been registered and has only 6 miles (10 km) on the odometer, has appeared for auction on Bring a Trailer.

In this scenario, the seller is a Chevrolet dealer, meaning it includes a full warranty. The listing clearly states that “this car does not have a title as it has never been sold to a private party owner.”

For those who were unable to secure a slot with a dealer, this could be an enticing shortcut to Corvette ownership, assuming they are willing to adhere to Chevrolet’s guidelines.

The ZR1 enhances the already impressive Z06, amplifying its capabilities significantly. At its core is the LT7, a 5.5-liter twin-turbo flat-plane-crank V8 that generates an astounding 1,064 hp (1,079 PS) and 828 lb-ft of torque, exclusively sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Chevy asserts it will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in the low two-second range and reach a top speed of approximately 233 mph (375 km/h), placing it firmly in supercar classification.

This specific Corvette is finished in black both inside and out, accented with blue stripes, brake calipers, seatbelts, and stitching. It features several appealing options, the most costly being the $10,495 carbon aero package, which includes various composite elements like the large rear wing.

Choosing the carbon package also grants access to the ZR1's $4,395 ZTK chassis upgrade, which this vehicle possesses. The ZTK pack enhances braking and handling through magnetic ride control dampers, carbon brakes, and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.

Additional options such as a nose lift, carbon interior features, and dual stripes brought the total options cost to nearly $30k, raising the final MSRP to $222,990.

However, there’s no chance of acquiring this C8 as its first owner at that price. As of now, with a full day remaining in the auction, bids have already exceeded $250,000 as buyers who missed out on dealer allocations vie for what was considered the ultimate C8 before the even more powerful 1,250 hp (1,267 PS) ZR1X was unveiled in June.

Potential buyers should pay attention to the fine print to understand the conditions. As indicated by the dealer in the listing, Chevrolet has a strict 12-month resale restriction in place for each ZR1, and anyone who sells one before the year is complete risks having the factory warranty voided for subsequent owners.

This policy aims to prevent speculative resellers from profiting while new orders remain backlogged. In short, the car is intended for driving rather than flipping. Would that resale condition deter you from placing a bid on this ZR1?
