Ferrari refers to the F76 as the "first digital hypercar," seemingly overlooking various Vision Gran Turismo concepts, including its own.

The launch of the F76 by Ferrari celebrates 76 years since the company's victory at Le Mans in 1949.

The automotive brand has yet to reveal the pricing for this exclusive NFT.

The F76 features distinct cockpit cells for both the driver and passenger.

It's been some time since the NFT (non-fungible tokens) trend faded, leading many to come to the realization that digital tokens lack significant intrinsic value. Nevertheless, Ferrari has decided that this is the ideal time to step into that arena, introducing a digital-only hypercar named the F76, which is sold as an NFT.

The car was created by the Ferrari Styling Center and is named after the 166 MM Barchetta that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans exactly 76 years ago, in 1949.

Ferrari describes the F76’s design process as involving "generative design," though it's unclear how much of this process incorporates artificial intelligence and where it fits into the overall development.

      Design Approach or Virtual Experimentation?

Ferrari’s recent design efforts, such as the F80 and the 849 Testarossa, have elicited mixed feedback. The F76 takes inspiration from these models while avoiding any limitations imposed by real-world regulations, existing entirely in the digital domain.

Perhaps the most striking aspect of the F76’s design is the separation of the driver and passenger cells, enabling the integration of a prominent central channel that allows the entire car body to function like a large wing.

On the sides, deeply sculpted gills and finely detailed perforations are intended to enhance airflow and highlight the vehicle’s aerodynamic shape.

Significant focus has also been placed on the front, which features a large wing stretching between the front wheels, along with retractable headlights.

Interestingly, Ferrari asserts that the F76’s "technical-stylistic language" will influence the design of future production vehicles. The brand describes this language as "a contrast between the taut, technical lines of the wings and the sculptural body," refined through "mathematical optimization facilitated by generative algorithms."

The most intriguing aspect of the F76 is that it is available solely as an NFT, exclusively for members of the private Hyperclub program.

Each client has been able to customize their own design, receiving their NFT in exclusive drops throughout the three years of the program. Ferrari has not disclosed the cost incurred by its clients for their individual F76s.
