Grounded has launched the new C1, intended for a wide range of users including police and medical personnel.

The C1 offers options for electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains, functioning as a mobile command center, healthcare unit, or disaster response hub. It is customizable with various wheelbases and three interior configurations.

After debuting in 2023 with an electric RV based on the BrightDrop Zevo 600, Grounded is now broadening its offerings by unveiling the C1 at Climate Week NYC.

Targeted towards government and healthcare fleets, the C1 utilizes Harbinger’s commercial-grade electric truck platform and is available in three configurations. One of these is a mobile command center tailored for police departments, providing “secure communications, reliable power, and the ability to coordinate responses during severe weather, large events, or multi-agency emergencies.”

      Inside the Command Hub

Though details remain limited, images reveal that the vehicle features a spacious area with desks and various displays, as well as a bathroom, flexible seating, and two enclosed sections.

The C1 can also be adapted into a mobile clinic that allows municipalities and nonprofits to provide services such as mammograms, vaccinations, and screenings. This configuration includes a reception area, a bathroom, and an examination space equipped with a desk and medical supplies.

The final configuration is designed for disaster response, and the company states it “offers resilience and adaptability with extended range, off-grid power, and modular interiors suitable for shelter coordination, supply distribution, and emergency relief.”

      Customization Options

While specifics are scarce, the C1 is designed to be highly customizable with several wheelbase options and three levels of upfits. The base level, called Core, features a streamlined interior that is cost-effective. The Advanced and Pro levels include more advanced features, such as upgraded communications equipment and enhanced range.

Regarding powertrains, the C1 will have electric and plug-in hybrid options. The electric version can be paired with a gas-powered range extender, a roof-mounted solar panel, and a dedicated ‘house battery.’

The company did not disclose detailed powertrain specifications; however, Harbinger utilizes an electric motor producing 440 hp (330 kW) and 1,140 lb-ft (1,550 Nm) of torque, along with a scalable battery pack that can be expanded in 35 kWh increments to meet various needs.

The plug-in hybrid version likely mirrors the Hybrid RV developed by THOR Industries and Harbinger, featuring an overall range of 500 miles (805 km) and an electric-only range of 150 miles (241 km).

Orders for the C1 are currently open, with deliveries anticipated to start in the second quarter of 2026. Pricing will “differ based on configuration and upfit.”

The CHARMERAs are branded with Kodak, sized like a pendant, and come in blind boxes, meaning you won’t know which of the seven designs you’ll receive. I love how compact and colorful these devices are. RETO has certainly captured the essence of vintage Kodak packaging and print design. While I don't require another small digital camera at the moment, I feel quite proud of my decision to resist this tempting option! However, if I were to get one, I'd probably dive into experimenting with filters and borders before settling on the standard setting. Additionally, I’m still exploring the RETO PANO (analog.cafe/r/reto-pano-re…), which has been great with producing impressive images, especially with high-contrast black-and-white films. #editorial🔥 #gasDmitri Sep 10, '25, edited on Sep 10, '25The Complete Set of KODAK CHARMERA cameras, all packaged in their vibrant blind boxes.Dmitri Sep 10, '25Dmitri Sep 10, '25All seven models, including the limited-edition “Secret Transparent” camera (located in the center).
