The Mazda3 is introduced for the 2026 model year without significant updates, available in both sedan and hatchback styles.

All trim levels now come with an eight-speaker audio system as standard.

Despite new tariffs, the pricing for the 2026 model year has only gone up by $75 to $915.

Mazda has effectively mitigated the effects of import tariffs on the 2026 Mazda3 sedan and hatchback, maintaining modest price increases. The compact vehicle, manufactured in Japan, arrives in the new model year mostly unchanged, though with some enhancements to its standard features.

The base Mazda3 sedan now starts at $24,550, which is only $400 more than the previous year. The hatchback begins at $25,550, reflecting a mere $165 increase compared to its predecessor. Overall, price rises range from $75 to $915 depending on the trim and powertrain—relatively mild given current trends.

The Mazda3 made its debut in late 2018 as a 2019 model and has yet to undergo a significant facelift. Reports indicate that the next generation may not be released until 2032, prompting Mazda to implement minor updates to keep it relevant in the meantime.

The most notable update for the 2026 model year is the introduction of the eight-speaker Mazda Harmonic Acoustic audio system as standard in the entry-level S trim. This is also true for the 8.8-inch infotainment display, LED lighting, and the ADAS suite.

The base versions of both the sedan and hatchback are equipped with 16-inch wheels, while the remainder of the lineup features upgraded 18-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, the top-tier Mazda3 Turbo Premium Plus includes a 10.25-inch infotainment display, leather seating, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.

The powertrain options remain unchanged from last year, featuring both naturally aspirated and turbocharged variants of the 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder gasoline engine.

Notably, the Mazda3 continues to distinguish itself as one of the few vehicles still offering a six-speed manual transmission, available on select trims along with a six-speed automatic option. Front-wheel drive is standard, while Mazda’s i-Activ all-wheel drive system is available on higher-level models.

The 2026 Mazda3 sedan and hatchback are set to arrive at U.S. dealerships this summer.
