The Cupra Tindaya concept, named after a volcanic island, promises to offer a distinctive experience for drivers.

Cupra will present the Tindaya concept on September 8 at the IAA Mobility Show, showcasing a new design language that emphasizes the fusion of emotion and technology. This concept is termed the "ideal symbiosis between human and machine."

A new concept is set to take prominence at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich, where Cupra will introduce its latest future design vision. The unveiling is planned for September 8, and the Cupra Tindaya signifies the next stage in the brand’s evolving design language.

The concept derives its name from a volcanic mountain located on Fuerteventura, one of the Canary Islands. Cupra announced the name through a brief CGI video, where an asteroid dramatically etches the word Tindaya into volcanic rock.

The company has also released a teaser image that concentrates on the rear of the new concept. The sleek, protruding taillights stretch towards the side profile, incorporating illuminated Tindaya lettering. The sculpted rear fenders boast a glossy carbon-style texture, complemented by copper accents and a matte finish on the upper body.

The teasers do not reveal the body style of the concept. However, it is speculated that it may be a coupe-SUV or a sporty crossover. An earlier video showcased a futuristic cockpit with a lit diamond-shaped structure and ribbed texture.

The design theme for both the exterior and interior of the Tindaya is “No Drivers, No Cupra,” indicating that it will not be a robotaxi. Instead, it is described as the “perfect symbiosis between human and machine,” suggesting an advanced digital interface.

Cupra has not disclosed the type of powertrain for the show car, but it is highly likely to be fully electric. Additionally, it will have a sporty character, as the automaker claims it “provides the maximum expression of driver focus, while delivering a unique experience that enhances driver emotions.”

In addition to the Tindaya, Cupra’s exhibit in Munich will also feature a near-production prototype of the Raval, which will be displayed in camouflaged bodywork. The all-electric Cupra Raval shares its platform with the forthcoming production version of the VW ID.2all hatchback and the Skoda Epiq SUV, and is anticipated to enter the market in 2026 as the entry-level model in Cupra’s electric vehicle lineup.
