The two-seater, V8 hybrid hypercar has achieved a new lap record at Laguna Seca.
Czinger has also set lap records at Thunderhill, Sonoma Raceway, and The Thermal Club.
As part of this record-setting spree, the 21C completed a 1,000-mile journey across California.
Czinger made a significant entry into the automotive market a few years back, initially giving the impression that their 21C might just be an elusive concept. However, the Los Angeles-based firm has silenced critics by delivering customer vehicles and outpacing European competitors at some of America's premier racetracks. The 21C has now established five new production car lap records, prompting chants of 'USA! USA! USA!'
The Specs
This 3D-printed hypercar features a 1,350-hp hybrid powertrain, which combines a 2.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine with two 150-hp front motors and a 150-hp rear motor. The majority of the power, 1,050 hp, is delivered to the rear wheels, and the car weighs under 2,900 pounds (1,315 kg). According to the Los Angeles company, it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in an impressive 1.9 seconds.

Instead of transporting the 21C to a racetrack, setting a lap time, and returning it to their headquarters, Czinger opted for a different approach. They took one 21C on a 1,000-mile road trip through California, visiting five of the state's finest tracks to break their lap records over five consecutive days.
Laguna Seca and beyond
The first stop was WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The 21C had previously held the production car lap record at this track, surpassing the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack with a time of 1:24.75 last year. In its most recent attempt, it improved that time to 1:24.39.
Next, the Czinger 21C raced to a new lap record at Thunderhill Raceway Park, achieving a best time of 1:48.30, which is 3.39 seconds faster than the prior record. The 21C also set a new best at Sonoma Raceway with a time of 1:35.05, beating the old record by 0.70 seconds.
Czinger then concluded the journey with a new record at Willow Springs Raceway of 1:19.73, outpacing a Porsche 911 GT2 RS by 1.35 seconds. Additionally, it set a new record at The Thermal Club with a time of 2:03.17 for the full circuit, improving the previous record by 10.33 seconds. All of these records have been verified by Racelogic and will be featured in a new documentary set to be released next Monday.
Pushing the limits
“We’re proud to return to The Quail and reflect on how far we’ve come,” said Czinger CEO and founder Lukas Czinger. “Year after year, we’ve pushed the boundaries of what’s possible, advancing our technology, honing our performance, and demonstrating that Czinger is establishing new benchmarks for the industry. This initiative was a culmination of that commitment. In just five days, the 21C secured five track records and covered over 1,000 miles on public roads in our home state of California.”
