      This variant showcases the stealthy aesthetics of The Dark Knight Trilogy.

      It boasts distinctive exterior and interior design elements, highlighted by numerous bat symbols.

      This limited edition electric vehicle is restricted to 300 units in India, each with a price tag of $27,200.

      For those who believed the Mahindra BE 6 had a hint of Batmobile character, there’s good news—the company is now introducing a Batman Edition of the EV. Promoted as “the world’s first commercially available Batman-themed SUV,” it will be produced in a limited run of 300 units and exclusively available in India.

      The Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition was created in collaboration with Warner Bros Discovery Global Consumer Products, akin to last year's Pininfarina models. Unlike the ultra-exclusive, high-end offerings from Mahindra’s luxury division, this partnership brings the Batman theme to a more accessible electric SUV.

      Although the movie franchise has transitioned to Matt Reeves' The Batman featuring Robert Pattinson, this edition draws inspiration from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy, during which Christian Bale wore the legendary suit.

      Bat-themed Decorations Abound

      In terms of design, the BE 6’s stealthy exterior features a custom Satin Black color complemented by gloss black accents. The most eye-catching element is the Batman decal on the front doors, accompanied by a golden bat emblem on the front fenders. Gold accents can also be seen on the suspension springs and brake calipers, positioned behind the 20-inch alloy wheels.

      Mahindra's design team added more bat symbols on the hubcaps, rear bumper, windows, and rear windshield, knowing that the vehicle will likely be driven by the most avid fans of the DC Comics hero—if not Bruce Wayne himself.

      Additionally, there is a Batman Edition sticker on the rear door cladding, along with special puddle lights resembling the Bat Signal for the road. Another notable feature is the Infinity Roof, showcasing an illuminated Bat emblem from The Dark Knight Trilogy on the glass.

      As expected, the Batman theme extends into the interior. The cabin features black suede and leather upholstery accented with gold details. The bat silhouette is incorporated into the seats, interior labels, door straps, dashboard trim, and the custom welcome graphics on the digital dashboard. A finishing touch is the “Brushed Alchemy Gold Batman Edition” numbered plaque affixed to the center console.

      Pratap Bose, Chief Design and Creative Officer at Mahindra & Mahindra, remarked: “The BE 6 has always embodied boldness and innovation. With the Batman Edition, we aimed to elevate it further—to create something incredibly personal and visually striking, making ownership feel like possessing a piece of cinematic history. We've meticulously attended to every detail so that there's always something new to discover.”

      Performance and Pricing

      This special edition is based on the most powerful BE 6 model, delivering 282 hp (210 kW / 286 PS) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque through a single rear-mounted electric motor. Its 79 kWh battery offers a WLTP range of 550 km (342 miles).

      Mahindra even equipped it with “Batman-inspired” exterior sounds, because if you’re going to drive a vehicle like this, it might as well sound ready to pursue the Joker.

      Pricing begins at ₹27.79 lakh (around $27,200), roughly $1,000 more than the standard model, yet still making it one of the most affordable cars you could imagine in Bruce Wayne’s fictional garage. Only 300 units will be produced, with orders opening on August 23 and the first deliveries scheduled for International Batman Day on September 20, providing the perfect opportunity to wear a cape to the dealership.
