The German tuning firm Heico Sportiv has launched a comprehensive tuning package for the new Volvo XC90.

With its revised bodykit, 22-inch wheels, and lowered suspension, the flagship SUV presents a sportier appearance.

Available upgrades include a sport exhaust with flap control and boosted power output.

Historically, the Volvo XC90 has been known for its comfort and refinement rather than for aggressive performance. Now, Heico Sportiv, noted for its tuning of Volvo and Polestar models, has introduced a comprehensive upgrade for the refreshed SUV. The aim is to equip the XC90 with the necessary presence and performance to compete with rivals from BMW M and Mercedes-AMG.

The 2025 model year update for the XC90 features a subtly updated front fascia, which Heico Sportiv enhances with a nine-piece bumper extension and decorative elements. Finished in piano black, these accents provide a sharper and more aggressive look to the intakes.

The side profile showcases a new set of Volution sport alloy wheels with a five-spoke design, measuring up to 22 inches in diameter. These can be further enhanced with optional wheel spacers, sport springs, or new software for the adaptive air suspension that lowers the SUV by up to 30 mm (1.2 inches).

At the rear, a three-piece skirt accommodates Audi-style quad tailpipes. This can be paired with a Heico Sportiv sports exhaust system featuring flap control that amplifies the sound of the Volvo. Since the XC90’s design remained largely unchanged in the recent facelift, these rear upgrades are compatible with all models from 2016 onward, while the exhaust can be fitted to both the B5 (diesel/gasoline) and T8 (PHEV) variants.

Inside, customers can opt for a handcrafted sport steering wheel, which boasts a flat-bottom design, prominent grip areas, and a combination of leather and Alcantara materials.

      Increased Power

Alongside aesthetic enhancements and chassis modifications, Heico Sportiv is also offering ECU recalibration to boost the XC90’s power output to as much as 500 hp. For context, the most powerful factory model, the T8 PHEV, delivers a total of 449 hp (335 kW / 455 PS). The tuner can also disable the 180 km/h (112 mph) speed limiter, enabling higher speeds where legally allowed, such as on the unrestricted sections of the Autobahn.

For those only wanting the Heico Sportiv bodykit and quad tailpipes for their Volvo XC90, the price starts at €4,411 ($5,100). If the custom exhaust system—which allows for a louder sound on demand—is added, the total cost rises to €7,302 ($8,500). Naturally, prices can increase further with the addition of optional performance upgrades, suspension modifications, aftermarket wheels, and other interior enhancements.

Heico Sportiv has stated that all upgrades for the Volvo XC90 will be available from September 2025 and comply with Swiss regulations.
