Callum’s concept transforms a Vanquish into a unique, handcrafted V12 Shooting Brake.

It features a panoramic glass roof, custom wheels, and an improved braking system.

The upgraded V12 would deliver approximately 580 horsepower, complemented by a stiffer suspension.

Shooting Brakes are among the most stylish vehicle body types, yet they are still quite uncommon on the roads. However, if you happen to be a millionaire or even a billionaire with a taste for these elegant two-door wagons, Ian Callum may have just the right vehicle for you.

Callum, a designer with an impressive background at Aston Martin, Ford, and Jaguar Land Rover, now runs his own independent firm. His portfolio includes a variety of striking designs, from reimagined classic Minis to a contemporary take on the legendary Jaguar E-Type unveiled earlier this year. His latest project envisions the 2001 Aston Martin Vanquish as a distinctive shooting brake.

Currently just a design concept, the Vanquish 25 Shooting Brake could become a production model if there's enough interest from buyers willing to pay a significant amount for one. The car looks incredible.

      Refined design elements

The standard Vanquish from this era is quite attractive, but it has a somewhat quirky appearance and isn’t as timeless as models like the DB9. In transforming it into a Shooting Brake, Ian Callum has made tweaks to the car's front end, adding a larger secondary grille and new air intakes where the original fog lights were positioned.

New headlights have been fitted, complete with daytime running lights, alongside a bold new hood. Above, the factory roof has been replaced by an expansive panel of panoramic glass that gracefully rises at the rear, creating the unmistakable shooting brake profile. The exterior is finished with black and silver alloy wheels, tinted taillights, and a redesigned rear diffuser.

Under the hood, the proposal includes a strengthened 6.0-liter naturally aspirated V12, featuring a carbon fiber intake, updated camshafts, and revised engine mapping to yield an additional 60 horsepower, bringing the total to 580.

The chassis would be upgraded with Bilstein dampers, carbon ceramic brakes, a wider track, and firmer sway bars, all designed to enhance handling without sacrificing the Vanquish’s grand touring essence.

It will only come to fruition if you’re willing to pay for it.

For now, the Vanquish 25 Shooting Brake remains a very costly daydream. Callum has stated he would gladly build one for the right buyer, and given its combination of rarity, performance, and meticulous detailing, it’s a tempting proposition that could lead collectors to consider the available space in their garages.
