      The 9X accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in only 3.1 seconds and has a maximum speed of 240 km/h (149 mph).

The sizable SUV produces 1,381 horsepower using a turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with three electric motors.

It features the largest battery ever installed in a production plug-in hybrid vehicle.

With its 900-volt technology, the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 9 minutes.

Four months prior, Zeekr unveiled its brand-new luxury SUV, the 9X, at the Shanghai Auto Show. Although several images of this full-size premium model were shared, the company provided limited information. Now, the official specifications of this new top-tier Zeekr model are available, and as we've come to expect from new Chinese models, these specs make some Western competitors look outdated by comparison.

The 9X is Zeekr’s inaugural plug-in hybrid, diverging from its previously all-electric lineup. Under the hood, it hosts a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 275 horsepower, which works alongside three electric motors. Together, they deliver a remarkable combined output of 1,381 horsepower, an impressive figure for an SUV.

According to Zeekr, this high power output enables the 9X to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.1 seconds, with a top speed of 240 km/h (149 mph). However, its performance is only part of the equation.

      Advanced Technology

Data from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reveals that customers will have the option of selecting between 55 kWh and 70 kWh battery packs. The larger version is the largest battery available in any plug-in hybrid, providing a potential electric-only range of up to 302 km (187 miles). The 900-volt electrical system supports fast charging from 20% to 80% in merely nine minutes, distinguishing it from many competitors in the market.

With dimensions of 5,239 mm (206.2 inches) in length, 2,029 mm (79.8 inches) in width, and 1,819 mm (71.6 inches) in height, along with a wheelbase of 3,169 mm (124.7 inches), the 9X presents an imposing presence.

Zeekr has shared an animated preview of the interior, featuring a 2+2+2 seating configuration. Notable features include a digital instrument panel, a large central infotainment display, and a fold-down entertainment screen for passengers in the rear.

In terms of intelligent driving, the Zeekr 9X introduces the Qianli Haohan H9 system, also referred to as G-Pilot H9. This system integrates five LiDAR sensors—one long-range and four dedicated to blind-spot monitoring and comprehensive surround coverage—paired with dual Nvidia Drive Thor-U chips.

      Pricing and Availability

While the official pricing has not yet been confirmed, initial estimates suggest that the 9X may be priced under $100,000, with pre-sales set to start in China later this month.
