Spy photographers have captured the first interior images of the second-generation Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door EV.

The interior features a sporty steering wheel and a freestanding curved display, reminiscent of the concept model.

This vehicle is based on the AMG.EA platform and is anticipated to have three axial flux motors generating over 1,300 hp.

While the redesigned Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door has been photographed extensively from the outside, today marks the first opportunity to see inside this high-performance electric vehicle.

Although several components are obscured by black fabric, the images reveal a flat-bottom steering wheel covered in leather and microfiber. It appears to be similar to that of the standard AMG GT, complete with paddle shifters.

Additional features are difficult to distinguish, but the prototype showcases a freestanding curved display that mirrors the one found in the AMG GT XX concept. However, this version boasts a slightly altered design with rounded edges. The screens in the concept measured 10.25 and 14 inches.

The production model opts for a more conventional center console compared to the concept’s steampunk design. It seems to include a row of silver buttons positioned in front of cup holders or a storage area.

Externally, the latest prototype reveals star-infused headlights paired with a rounded front bumper that has a wide lower intake. The vehicle also features a sharply sloped windscreen leading to a steep roofline. Additional noteworthy elements include flush door handles, aerodynamically refined wheels, and circular taillights similar to those on the concept.

Although the production model differs significantly from the concept, both utilize the AMG.EA platform, which incorporates a combination of aluminum, steel, and fiber composite materials to provide lightweight construction and “exceptional rigidity.”

The vehicle is also expected to include an advanced battery system and three axial flux motors, which allowed the concept to achieve a total output exceeding 1,341 hp (1,000 kW / 1,360 PS).
