This formidable Mercedes-AMG GT now features a 4.5-liter V8 and upgraded turbochargers, delivering an impressive 1,342 lb-ft of torque.

Brabus’ latest model boasts such remarkable torque that it had to be limited to protect the transmission.

The AMG GT-based coupe accelerates to 62 mph in just 2.6 seconds and reaches 124 mph in 9.5 seconds.

The customized interior showcases black leather, carbon trim, and anodized red accents.

While we might be mistaken, we believe very few would gaze at the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance and think it requires more power. However, the team at Brabus appears to have a different perspective, using the GT 63 S E as the foundation for their newest creation, dubbed the Brabus 1000. This tuned vehicle not only includes numerous performance enhancements but also features a significantly revised exterior and interior.

      Excess Torque May Be Dangerous

It's no surprise how much power the Brabus 1000 produces: 1,000 PS, or 986 hp. Even more astonishing than this peak power figure is the maximum torque of 1,342 lb-ft (1,820 Nm), which is so immense it could hypothetically rotate the Earth on its axis. The engine generates enough torque that it has been limited to 1,195 lb-ft (1,620 Nm) to prevent transmission failure.

To achieve this additional power, Brabus has done more than simply install larger turbochargers; they have also expanded the 4.0-liter V8's displacement to 4.5 liters. Additionally, it incorporates a billet-aluminum crankshaft, forged high-performance connecting rods, and a custom stainless steel exhaust. It’s worth noting that the E Performance is a hybrid, utilizing a 201 hp electric motor, meaning the combustion engine alone in the Brabus 1000 generates 785 hp and 922 lb-ft (1,250 Nm).

      Acceleration That Redefines Speed

The performance figures are truly remarkable. The tuner claims the car can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in a mere 2.6 seconds, reach 124 mph (200 km/h) in 9.5 seconds, and hit 186 mph (300 km/h) in 23.6 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 200 mph (320 km/h).

      More Than Just Power

In addition to enhancing the powertrain, Brabus has diligently worked on the vehicle's aerodynamics. This includes a redesigned front end with new canards, grille inserts, and a carbon fiber splitter. The back features a fixed rear wing and carbon diffuser. This bodywork is complemented by 21- and 22-inch ten-spoke wheels and KW springs that reduce the ride height by 20 mm.

The interior is also highly refined. The GT 63 S E Performance has been reupholstered in new black leather, with added carbon fiber components and vibrant red details throughout, including air vents, speaker grilles, and door switches.

Unsurprisingly, this exceptional upgrade comes at a cost. The Brabus 1000 is priced at €445,900, approximately $515,000, providing a Mercedes-AMG experience elevated to a completely new level for those who find it too conventional.
