If you're feeling desperate or uninformed, you might consider using a Tesla Supercharger at a very slow speed.

The Lucid Air will gain entry to Tesla’s Supercharger network later this month.

However, owners need to remember that utilizing this access requires a $220 adapter and charges at a rate of 50 kW.

Lucid has also unveiled the 2026 Air, which offers an extended range in the Touring variant.

While the Lucid Gravity is positioned as the brand’s flagship, the Air is entering 2026 with several updates, the most significant being access to the Tesla Supercharger network, although using it may not be the best choice.

That may sound strange, so let’s clarify. Starting July 31, Air owners can purchase a $220 NACS adapter to connect to over 23,500 Tesla Superchargers. This access may sound appealing, but the Air only supports charging speeds up to 50 kW, meaning it could take as long as an hour to add 200 miles (322 km) of range.

This charging speed is quite inefficient for a 'fast charger', and it's advisable to use a traditional CCS charging station instead. The Air, depending on the trim, can support DC CCS fast charging at speeds of up to 300 kW, six times greater than a Tesla Supercharger.

Despite this limitation, Lucid’s Emad Dlala referred to “Access to the Tesla Supercharging network … as another significant milestone.” Nonetheless, if there are better options available, it's wise to steer clear of Superchargers.

In addition to Supercharger access, the 2026 Air Pure is equipped with an upgraded air conditioning compressor from the Gravity, promising enhanced cooling and quieter operation.

Buyers will also receive a newly standard Lucid Mobile Charging Cable Kit and optional 19-inch Aeronaut wheels available in Platinum or Stealth. The Comfort and Convenience Package has been refreshed to include a rear center console display and storage bin.

The $79,900 Air Touring expands on these features and includes higher density battery cells, boosting the EPA-estimated range by over 6% to 431 miles (694 km).

Finally, the Air Grand Touring now features standard 20-way power front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, which Lucid claims enhance comfort for road trips in the industry's longest-range electric vehicle, with an EPA-estimated range of up to 512 miles (824 km).
