Ferrari is auctioning a Tailor Made Daytona SP3 for charity at Monterey Car Week.

This car will be designated as number 599+1, marking an addition to the original SP3 production run.

It features distinctive elements, including recycled tires and visible carbon fiber.

While Ferrari is moving forward with the F80 and its V6 hybrid powertrain, the V12 remains a key aspect of a true hypercar. The Daytona SP3 is especially notable, not just for its impressive performance, but because it might be the final mid-engine Ferrari ever produced with a V12. Initially limited to 599 units, one more will be added.

Ferrari plans to make a statement at Monterey Car Week with a unique Daytona SP3 Tailor Made, a custom vehicle that will be auctioned at RM Sotheby’s California event in August. This is a last chance to obtain a brand-new V12-powered Daytona SP3, unless you were already on the original list of 599 buyers.

      One More Than 599

This particular vehicle has a unique designation: it is officially known as 599+1, a detail engraved on the build plate. This slight addition distinguishes it from the others and, more significantly, enhances its value. The exclusivity is important, especially since this Tailor Made version is unlikely to be a standard customer choice.

The livery is strikingly bold. One side showcases exposed carbon fiber, while the other side features Giallo Modena. The yellow color melds onto the carbon area, incorporating Ferrari's logo seamlessly. For those who might miss the sleek design, the sound of the naturally aspirated V12, or the Prancing Horse emblem, the brand name is prominently displayed from a lower perspective. Ferrari states this is “the first time the logo is applied to a livery in this manner.”

However, the exterior isn’t the only exceptional aspect of this car. The interior includes upholstery made from recycled tires adorned with a Prancing Horse motif. Ferrari incorporated the same type of carbon fiber used in F1 single-seaters into the dashboard and steering column. Beyond these unique and notable modifications, this remains a Daytona SP3 like any other. Not that there are many available anyway.

The 6.5-liter V12 engine located under the rear decklid produces 828 hp (618 kW) and 514 lb-ft (697 Nm) of torque. This power is sent to the rear wheels exclusively through a seven-speed F1-style gearbox, making contact with the road via 345-section-width tires and an advanced traction control system. All of this will be available to whoever bids the highest on August 15.
