Cadillac Lyriq sales experienced a decline in Q2, but the brand's other electric vehicles performed reasonably well.

Sales of the Lyriq dropped by 31.2% in the second quarter, continuing a trend from a disappointing first quarter. Year-to-date totals show a decrease of 28.8%, with 9,317 units sold.

Despite this decline, around 25% of Cadillacs sold in the first half of the year were electric, representing the “highest among full-line luxury brands,” making Cadillac the “luxury EV market share leader” in Q2.

While sales of the Lyriq lagged, Cadillac reported strong initial demand for the Optiq, Vistiq, and Escalade IQ. The Optiq achieved 3,224 sales, the Vistiq was embraced by 1,744 customers, and Cadillac delivered 1,810 Escalade IQs, which start at $130,090 for 2025.

Looking ahead, Cadillac plans to launch more electric models, including the Lyriq-V, Optiq-V, and Escalade IQL. The Escalade IQL is set to arrive this summer, priced at $132,795, offering a range of 460 miles (740 km) and a 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) time of 4.7 seconds.

In terms of gas-powered models, the Escalade was the best-seller, with 11,692 units sold, marking a 16.1% increase likely fueled by a significant facelift.

The XT4 saw a decline of 22.2%, while the XT5 and XT6 recorded slight increases. However, all three models are aging, and the three-row crossover is facing discontinuation in North America.

Cadillac's sedans faced mixed outcomes; the CT5 rose by 9% to 4,187 units, while the CT4 dropped by 19.1% to 1,430 units.
