The classic model receives contemporary enhancements both inside and outside, alongside an upgraded 1.3-liter engine that generates 110 hp.

The Wood and Pickett Mini designed by Callum is a meticulously crafted modern interpretation of the classic hatchback.

This version includes refined styling modifications, a revamped interior, a rally-tuned engine, and an improved chassis.

David Gandy, recognized as the “most successful male model of all time,” was the first to commission this model.

The classic Mini has earned its status as one of the most iconic vehicles in automotive history, making it a fitting choice for yet another restomod project. This project, undertaken by Callum in collaboration with Wood and Pickett, showcases modern aesthetic enhancements and upgraded components.

The build began with a completely restored Mini MK5 Sports pack body shell, the final variant of this model before production ended in 2001.

Visual updates consist of redesigned front and rear bumper extensions, broader Wood & Pickett fenders, and new LED headlights along with taillights. This custom Mini is equipped with a fresh set of 13-inch alloy wheels specifically designed by Callum for this project, and it is finished in a unique Anthracite metal color.

Inside, the dashboard draws inspiration from earlier Wood and Pickett conversions. It incorporates metal switchgear, USB charging ports, and a seamlessly integrated infotainment display that supports modern connectivity features. The cabin is adorned with Tan Bridge of Weir leather upholstery, including a pair of custom-made seats.

Beneath the compact hood sits a rebuilt 1.3-liter rally engine featuring a Stage 3 upgrade. The engine possesses a performance cylinder head, twin-point injection, and a retuned ECU, yielding 110 hp (82 kW / 112 PS) — nearly double the original’s output, promising an exhilarating driving experience. Additionally, a twin-exit exhaust system and a re-engineered manual gearbox direct power to the front wheels.

The chassis has been enhanced for better handling alongside diminished noise and vibration. Improvements include a new suspension setup and upgraded brakes with vented and drilled discs.

The Wood and Pickett Mini by Callum will be hand-crafted in limited quantities in the UK, each offering significant personalization, starting at £75,000 ($102,100).

The first model was created for David Gandy, a 45-year-old Englishman regarded as the most successful male model ever, who is described on Wikipedia as the “highest-grossing male model in history.” Gandy is also a car enthusiast with a penchant for classic vehicles, boasting a collection that features a Porsche 356, a Mercedes 190 SL, and a Jaguar XK120.
