The lease price for the Ioniq 5 N has decreased from $899/month to $699, with a $4,000 payment required at signing.
This limited-time offer maintains the same down payment amount.
Hyundai is clearing out its current Ioniq 5 N stock ahead of the 2026 model release.
While affordability may not be the first thought regarding the performance of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, leasing it in the U.S. has become more budget-friendly as Hyundai prepares for the 2026 release and aims to deplete its existing inventory, despite no significant changes anticipated.
Previously, leasing the Ioniq 5 N was quite expensive, with monthly payments set at $899 for a 36-month term, alongside a $3,999 down payment due at signing before taxes and delivery charges. This resulted in an effective cost of roughly $1,010 per month, which was a substantial amount—nearly double some lease offers seen recently for the Lucid Air.
Now, Hyundai has reduced the Ioniq 5 N lease to $699 per month for 36 months, while keeping the $3,999 down payment at signing. This promotion started on May 9 and will last until June 2, so interested buyers should act quickly.
As we learned, Hyundai achieved this price reduction by lowering the Money Factor (the interest rate calculated for the rent charge) to .00017 for 24-month/12,000-mile leases and .00016 for 36-month/10,000-mile leases, as well as increasing the residual values (the expected value of the car at the lease's conclusion) to 52% and 45%, respectively.
For the 36-month/10,000-mile option with the down payment, the effective monthly lease calculates to $810 before taxes and delivery fees. Choosing a zero down payment option increases the total to $848.17 due to the higher interest rate. Hyundai also provides a purchasing option at the lease's end for $32,484, plus an additional $300 fee.
Other Options
Although this offer may be hard to resist for some, it's important to note that Kia is preparing to launch its updated EV6 GT, which shares many features with the Ioniq 5 N. This model not only utilizes the same basic dual-motor powertrain but has also been enhanced with the same Virtual Gear Shift function and promises an ICE-inspired sound experience.
If you’re considering a purchase, the Ioniq 5 N begins at $67,675. This price is relatively reasonable for an electric vehicle that offers both practicality and supercar-level performance. However, it remains significantly pricier than the Tesla Model 3 Performance, which starts at $54,990.
Furthermore, if you choose colors like Stealth Grey, Pearl White, or Deep Blue metallic, the flagship Model 3 is eligible for the $7,500 federal tax credit, reducing the price to $47,490 before taxes and fees—a factor to consider.
That said, for those seeking an electric vehicle that emphasizes driver engagement in a manner unmatched by competitors, the Ioniq 5 N remains a commendable option. With a power output of up to 641 horsepower, it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 3.4 seconds, and it even lets you customize the power distribution between the front and rear wheels for a tailored driving experience.
