There’s no more effective way to make a statement in a TRD Pro than with a vibrant blue color.
This may very well be one of the most visually appealing colors offered by Toyota at present.
In the past, Toyota has provided several vivid colors for its TRD Pro models.
The TRD Pro versions of Toyota’s 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia are prominent in their respective segments with enhanced aesthetics and excellent off-road capabilities. To further elevate this lineup for 2026, Toyota has unveiled a fresh color named Wave Maker.
This vibrant blue is the creation of Toyota’s CALTY design studio, and according to Benjamin Jimenez, the general manager of CALTY Ann Arbor, the team drew inspiration from “uncharted territories of adventure, including extreme environments and even outer space.” While this might sound like a PR line from Toyota, it’s undeniable that this new finish will attract attention both on the road and off.

Toyota's TRD Pro models have been available in numerous unique colors over the years, but few have been as bold as Wave Maker. Some of the brighter hues available lately include Voodoo Blue, Inferno, Solar Orange, and Lime Rush. However, the Japanese automaker also offers many subtler options, such as Army Green and Mudbath, a surprisingly charming brown shade.
Dealers across the United States will begin receiving the 2026 TRD Pro models in the fall. While no significant updates are anticipated for 2026, it’s worth noting that the current TRD Pro models don’t require any enhancements at this point in their lifecycle.
Not long ago, the latest Tacoma TRD Pro was introduced to the market. One of its most fascinating innovations is Toyota’s IsoDynamic Performance seats, which feature shock absorbers intended to reduce body and head movement for both drivers and passengers.
As a reminder, various TRD Pro models are equipped with different powertrains. For instance, both the 4Runner and Tundra TRD Pro utilize a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder combined with an electric motor, producing 326 hp and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque, while the larger Tundra and Sequoia TRD Pro are powered by a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 hybrid that delivers 437 hp and 583 lb-ft.
No matter which TRD Pro model you drive, whether you are leisurely driving along a beach or navigating over boulders in rural areas, the new blue color ensures that any owner will stand out.
