      Cadillac produced only 120 units of this special edition to mark its 120th anniversary.

      This CT5-V Blackwing is specifically dedicated to the year 1920 and is finished in Black Raven.

      The original owner opted for carbon ceramic brakes and numerous carbon fiber features.

      While high-performance V8 super sedans may be becoming rare, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing stands out as a key competitor to the BMW M5, offering significant power. However, despite its impressive performance, collectors appear less interested in the limited 120th Anniversary Edition released by Cadillac three years ago.

      Cadillac unveiled this limited version of the CT5-V Blackwing in April 2022, producing just 120 units, each corresponding to a specific year in the brand’s history. The first one sold at auction for $250,000. Fast forward to April 2025, and this Black Raven variant was sold for $96,500, despite an original MSRP of $142,530 and having only 3,600 miles (5,800 km) on the odometer.

      While it’s still a significant amount, it’s a dramatic drop from its initial price, reflecting a depreciation of $46,030.

      This specific CT5-V Blackwing, dedicated to 1920, features a Black Raven paint job paired with 19-inch alloy wheels in Tech Bronze. It’s an eye-catching combination that clearly makes a statement, but it seems it wasn’t enough to persuade buyers to pay a premium for this limited edition.

      The first owner also did not hold back on options for this anniversary edition. Alongside the base price of $10,000 for the limited model, they chose numerous costly extras, including $9,000 carbon ceramic brakes, two carbon fiber packages totaling more than $11,000, a $1,450 sunroof, and $1,600 for performance data and video recording. Upgrading the leather interior cost the owner an additional $8,090.

      While the CT5-V's cabin may not be as luxurious as that of the M5, it certainly offers a reasonably premium feel. It features many carbon fiber accents, soft-touch leather, and carbon fiber seat backs. Additionally, it includes a 16-speaker AKG audio system, a 10-inch infotainment screen, a head-up display, and a 12-inch digital gauge cluster.

      The powerful engine of the fastest and most potent Cadillac production model at the time of its launch is a 6.2-liter supercharged V8, generating 668 horsepower (498 kW) and 659 lb-ft of torque (893 Nm). Although a six-speed manual transmission was available, this particular model is equipped with the less sought-after 10-speed automatic.

      With only about 3,600 miles on the odometer at the time of its sale, this Blackwing has barely seen any use, yet it still did not achieve the impact Cadillac anticipated in the collector market.
