The Infiniti G35, a blue and brown sedan, is currently experiencing an identity crisis in Japan.

The rear of the G35 has been raised and is fitted with oversized off-road tires.

Additionally, a large rear wing has been added, though it serves little functional purpose.

The mismatched wheels and tires likely compromise the sedan's handling.

The Nissan Skyline, commonly known as the Infiniti G35 and G37, has always been a divisive vehicle—some adore it while others detest it. The latest iteration spotted in Japan, however, is likely to evoke discomfort from both sides. We understand why. This G35 appears to be a crossbreed between a drag racer and an off-road vehicle, and it is indeed as odd as it sounds.

We have only come across one image of this G35, and even if more were available online, we aren’t sure we would want to see any additional views of this peculiar modification. It seems the owner aimed to make the car as outrageous and impractical as possible, drawing inspiration from various aftermarket tuning communities.

The front of the Infiniti features a new paint job with blue flames and is fitted with black and silver wheels. If the owner had halted there, it might not have looked too bad, but, of course, they continued. They lifted the rear end of the G35 to accommodate a completely different set of wheels.

The rear rims are noticeably smaller than the front ones, but they come with massive mud-terrain tires more suited for a Jeep Wrangler than this vehicle. Additionally, a towering rear wing reminiscent of the early 2000s has been attached. However, we suspect this G35 is never actually driven fast enough to require any meaningful downforce.

Despite how strange this Skyline appears, we are curious about its driving experience. Clearly, the extreme angle would make it feel unlike any other car, and we believe the rear tires would generate a significant amount of unwanted noise inside the cabin. This car likely isn’t adept at cornering either. What is its purpose, then? Likely, it turns heads. And it certainly accomplishes that.
