Maserati GranCabrio Introduces Entry-Level Variant With 483 HP | Carscoops

The trident brand has unveiled a special one-off model, known as the ICE, alongside an entry-level GranCabrio featuring a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine.

This engine generates 483 hp, allowing the convertible to reach 62 mph in under 4.0 seconds.

Maserati chose The International Concours of Elegance St. Moritz for the debut of the entry-level GranCabrio, along with the unique model based on the GranCabrio Trofeo, known as the ICE, created through Maserati's Fuoriserie customization program.

The entry-level version is equipped with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 that delivers 483 hp (360 kW / 490 PS) and 442 lb-ft (600 Nm) of torque. With all-wheel drive and likely an eight-speed automatic transmission, it can accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 188 mph (302 km/h).

Maserati has not disclosed many specifics, but the model includes features like LED headlights and air suspension, along with staggered 20- and 21-inch wheels. The four-seater interior is fitted with perforated leather seats, a 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and an 8.8-inch comfort display.

Pricing and specifications will vary by region; however, in Italy, the base price starts at €169,600 ($177,440) with several optional features. Notable options include a Sonus premium audio system, a head-up display, and a Comfort Pack that offers ventilated front seats, HomeLink, and a wind deflector.

As for the one-off GranCabrio Trofeo, it draws inspiration from “winter charm,” showcasing a distinctive Liquid tri-coat exterior that resembles a frozen lake, enhanced by Gloss White accents and forged wheels with gloss blue brake calipers.

Additional highlights include a Blue Marine soft top and an ice-colored interior with black contrasting accents, complemented by carbon fiber trim.

This one-off model, based on the GranCabrio Trofeo, features an enhanced Nettuno V6 engine delivering 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque. Consequently, it can sprint from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.6 seconds, with a maximum speed of 196 mph (316 km/h).

Aside from these new models, Maserati has announced minor updates for the grand tourers. The color selection for the GranCabrio has been “revamped and extended,” while the Trofeo coupe and convertible can be equipped with a new sports exhaust system beginning in March, promising “purer and more adrenaline-fueled sounds.”
