Ceer’s upcoming electric crossover is set to be unlike any other vehicle on the road when it makes its debut later this year.
The model has been spotted in testing and features a wedge-shaped design, boasting the largest windshield in the world, sourced from Isoclima. The automaker has revealed that this windshield will be the "world’s largest."
While dimensions weren't specified, it was mentioned that the windshield will incorporate an Infrared Reflective Triple Silver coating to reduce solar heat absorption, which is crucial given that Ceer is headquartered in Saudi Arabia.
Additionally, the windshield will contain an acoustic interlayer for improved sound insulation and a "Wide Color Band" in the header area, functioning as a tinted sunshade for extra protection.
Aside from the windshield, the model showcases triangular wheels and what appear to be butterfly or gullwing doors with glass panels, complemented by robust side skirts and black cladding.
We can also spot slim lighting units and what seem to be digital side mirrors. The rear end is angular, featuring a distinctive liftgate and a shelf-like recess for the license plate.
Not much else is known about the vehicle as of now, but Ceer was established in 2022 by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman with backing from the nation's Public Investment Fund. The company aims to "design, manufacture, and sell a variety of vehicles for consumers in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region, including sedans and SUVs."
This joint venture with Foxconn is focused on developing an electrical architecture for the vehicles. When Ceer was announced, it was disclosed that they would be licensing component technology from BMW, with vehicles expected to launch in 2025.
Although that timeline has shifted, Ceer has been constructing a plant in King Abdullah Economic City and finalized a powertrain agreement with Hyundai last year, which will supply electric drive systems incorporating a motor, inverter, and reduction gear.
Recently, Ceer also established a powertrain partnership with Rimac Technologies for high-performance drive systems, although details about this arrangement are still unclear.
