The starting price for the bikes is $5,850, which includes an upgraded SRAM drivetrain and larger EPTA STAGE brakes.

A newly updated Brose S-MAG motor offers 250 watts and up to 90 Nm of torque.

It showcases an RS Q e-tron-inspired design and provides 180 mm of suspension travel for serious trail riding.

For those who thought Audi’s venture into ebikes would be a one-off event, think again. The German car manufacturer has returned with a new ebike designed to tackle trails more effectively with enhanced components and, interestingly, a lower entry price. Priced at just $5,850, it is more accessible than many standard ebikes not linked to luxury automobiles.

Developed in collaboration with the Italian motorcycle and ebike manufacturer Fantic, the eMTB 2.0 utilizes the same aluminum frame as the original Audi eMTB, but with some significant upgrades.

The drivetrain now incorporates a SRAM GX Eagle Transmission AXS electronic derailleur combined with a SRAM XX SL Eagle 12-speed 10-52T cassette, allowing for precise wireless shifting. Braking performance is substantially enhanced with new EPTA STAGE rotors measuring 220 mm at the front and 203 mm at the rear, while Sunstar F.I.R.S.T. calipers provide improved control during descents.

The electric motor remains unchanged, featuring a Brose S-MAG 250-watt unit that delivers up to 90 Nm of torque. A 720-Wh battery pack powers it and is fully integrated into the frame. Riders can select from four assistance modes: eco, tour, sport, and boost, with at least one of them feeling like it should have been labeled RS.

This ebike assists riders up to 20 mph, with a range that can vary significantly from as little as 12 miles to as much as 90, depending on the terrain and rider effort. Having experience with mountain bikes and eMTBs, that range should suffice for most users. A compact digital display shows speed, assist level, and battery status.

The setup is often referred to as a "mullet," featuring a 29-inch wheel at the front and a 27.5-inch wheel at the back. This configuration aids in managing larger obstacles while maintaining agility. An Öhlins RXF38 m.2 fork and TTX22m.2 rear shock offer 180 mm of travel at both ends. Audi has even made some accessories available for the bike, including a helmet and hydration pack. Deliveries are already in progress for some fortunate customers.
