The Global 30th Anniversary Edition is equipped with a standard 12.3-inch infotainment system and a panoramic sunroof, priced at $10,000 less than the base model available in the U.S.

Dongfeng Honda has launched the CR-V 30th Anniversary Edition specifically for the Chinese market, offering both gasoline and hybrid e:HEV variants with a wealth of features.

Each trim includes a 12.3-inch infotainment system and heated and ventilated seating.

To commemorate thirty years since the CR-V made its debut globally, Honda has unveiled a special edition of its top-selling SUV tailored for China. This model, which includes both gasoline and hybrid options, boasts additional features while being priced lower than its counterparts in other countries.

The Chinese CR-V is manufactured by Dongfeng Honda, while GAC Honda produces the mechanically similar Breeze. Externally, the Global 30th Anniversary Edition resembles the standard CR-V, featuring LED headlights, an active grille, and body-colored cladding for the hybrid variant. Alloy wheels are offered in sizes of 17, 18, or 19 inches, depending on the trim.

      Interior Upgrades

Inside, the special edition distinguishes itself with a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment display as standard across all trims, along with a panoramic glass roof. In comparison, the U.S. version of the CR-V has a 9-inch central screen, and its lower trims are limited to a 7-inch digital gauge cluster.

Another contrast with the American model is that the Chinese variant features heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. Additionally, it offers configurations for either five or seven passengers. The top-tier trim of the 30th Anniversary Edition includes an electric tailgate, a 50W wireless charger, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, a head-up display, and the Honda Sensing 360+ safety suite.

      Under the Hood

Under the hood, there are no unexpected developments. The gasoline variant is powered by a well-known turbocharged 1.5-liter engine that produces 190 hp (142 kW / 193 PS) and 243 Nm (179 lb-ft) of torque, paired with a CVT transmission that powers either the front wheels or all four.

The hybrid option, the CR-V e:HEV, combines a 2.0-liter engine and dual electric motors to deliver a total of 181 hp (135 kW / 185 PS) and 335 Nm (247 lb-ft) of torque. The self-charging hybrid is available in both FWD and AWD versions.

      Competitive Pricing and Enhanced Technology

The pricing, which is unexpectedly lower, is noteworthy. In China, the gasoline version starts at ¥145,900 ($20,500) and reaches a high of ¥191,900 ($27,000), while the hybrid variant is priced between ¥159,900 ($22,500) and ¥209,900 ($29,500). These prices are significantly below the U.S. version of the CR-V, which starts at $30,920 and can go up to $42,250, despite offering fewer comfort and convenience features.
