Tuner Discovers the BMW M4's Sweet Spot with 700 Horsepower | Carscoops

G-Power's latest convertible boasts 700 hp and can reach a top speed of 193 mph, featuring a carbon body designed to intimidate supercars and their owners.

G-Power has enhanced the vehicle with a new air intake, downpipes, and a software tune to boost performance.

The Hurricane RR forged 21-inch wheels add extra flair and a more aggressive appearance.

While tuners often focus on coupes, sedans, and Tourings when modifying high-performance BMWs, the M4 Convertible tends to remain less noticed. This makes it an ideal base for G-Power's latest project, transforming the droptop into a formidable competitor against supercars.

The modifications begin with the engine, which is essential. G-Power has installed a new carbon fiber air intake, HJS downpipes, and an aftermarket rear silencer with tailpipes, allowing the 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine to operate more efficiently. Coupled with software tuning, the engine now produces 700 hp and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. While G-Power has not disclosed acceleration times, they announced that the car is capable of reaching 193 mph (310 km/h).

The vehicle, named the G4M Bi-Turbo Convertible by G-Power, features more than just engine enhancements. It includes several lightweight carbon fiber components, such as a newly designed hood with multiple vents to improve engine cooling. A carbon fiber engine cover with orange accents has also been added.

Additional carbon fiber elements are incorporated into the front bumper and grille, which emulates the design of the CS model's grille. The M4 Convertible is equipped with Hurricane RR forged wheels sized 21×9 at the front and 21×10.5 at the rear.

If you're not a M4 Cabriolet owner, there's no need for concern, as all engine updates applied to this model can also be implemented on other M3 and M4 variants. Furthermore, G-Power offers a 700 hp package for the smaller M2, promising to enhance its performance significantly.
