The 2026 Sorento now begins at a price of $32,190, reflecting an increase of $200 from the previous model year.

Kia has unveiled the 2026 Sorento, featuring minor updates alongside a price hike across its trims.

The starting price has risen to $32,190, not including the increased destination fee of $1,445.

While most trims are enhanced with additional features, the Sorento S has lost its Wi-Fi and navigation capabilities.

As 2026 models continue to arrive in dealerships, the Kia Sorento stands out. Following a facelift in 2024, this year's changes are rather subtle, yet include some appreciated additions.

The base Sorento LX now starts at $32,190, up $200. However, the destination fee has risen from $1,415 to $1,445, resulting in a total increase of $230.

      Minor Benefits, Minor Drawbacks

This price increase is fairly reasonable, especially with the added features. For instance, drivers will now find that a leather-wrapped steering wheel with hands-on detection comes standard.

While it's great to see the polyurethane steering wheel replaced, the $35,090 Sorento S has unfortunately lost its navigation and Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities. This is disappointing given that the price has also risen by $500, meaning customers are paying more for fewer features.

As you move up the trim hierarchy, the $38,290 Sorento EX introduces a new Premium Package. Priced at $2,000 and available exclusively for the front-wheel drive version, this package includes second-row captain’s chairs, a panoramic glass roof, and a Bose premium audio system.

In terms of styling, X-Line and X-Pro models now feature gloss black exterior accents, along with a glossy black grille and matching air intake surround. The X-Line EX also comes equipped with a Bose audio system.

Finally, the Sorento SX receives luxury enhancements, including a heated steering wheel, a Bose sound system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink. Additionally, rear sunshades are now included, though the starting price has increased by $400 to $42,090.

      Powertrain Options

Engine choices remain unchanged, with both naturally aspirated and turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines available. The naturally aspirated variant delivers 191 hp (142 kW / 194 PS) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque, while the turbocharged version generates 281 hp (210 kW / 285 PS) and 311 lb-ft (421 Nm). Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which can be connected to an optional all-wheel drive system. A final change for 2026 is that all-wheel drive models will now include a new Terrain Mode as standard.
