A limited edition seven-seat Jeep features rugged black accents, red highlights, and camouflage details available exclusively in Japan.

Jeep has introduced the Commander Trail Edition in Japan, limited to only 150 units.

This special SUV includes black trim, a red chin spoiler, and a camouflage trail badge.

The starting price is 5,990,000 yen, approximately $44,400 based on current exchange rates.

While the Jeep Commander is offered in various global markets, it is notably absent from dealerships in the United States, making it less prominent in the brand's lineup. Nonetheless, Jeep has selected it as the foundation for a new limited edition specifically for Japan. Named the Commander Trail Edition, this unique model will be restricted to just 150 units and boasts several distinctive design and trim enhancements.

This special variant is derived from the Commander Limited and showcases a Brilliant Black Crystal finish. The most striking feature is a vivid red chin spoiler at the front, which provides a nice contrast to the dark exterior. Jeep has also replaced the standard chrome trim with gray and black alternatives, giving the SUV a more understated and somewhat aggressive look.

Additionally, Jeep has adorned this model with a new Trail badge that features a camouflage design. It comes equipped with a set of standard 18-inch gloss black aluminum wheels.

The interior of the Commander Trail Edition has also received several updates. Newly added red trim runs across the dashboard and steering wheel, complemented by red contrast stitching and a camouflage print.

As previously noted, only 150 units will be manufactured, with prices starting at 5,990,000 yen or $44,400.

Although the Jeep Commander is not available in the US, it presents a compelling option as a seven-seat SUV designed to fit between the Compass and the Grand Cherokee. In Japan, it is exclusively powered by a 2.0-liter diesel engine, while in other regions, such as Mexico, it features a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 173 hp and 199 lb-ft (270 Nm) of torque.
